Dagu glacier is located at the intersection of Minshan Mountain and Qionglai Mountain at the northern end of the middle section of Hengduan Mountain in the southeastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and it is a high mountain and canyon zone in the transition from the northwest edge of Sichuan Basin to the plateau hills. The area is high in the northwest and low in the southeast.
