The first time I saw a picture of Fritillaria thunbergii in full bloom, I was attracted by this small tendril of MengMeng. Full of European court painting style, a bit like a clown's hat and a bit like a king's beard.

So when I was lucky enough to go to Pan 'an Fritillaria Planting Base with Xiaodong and Meilin, I was very much looking forward to seeing the true face of this little creature.

Because of the itinerary, I went to Pan Da Yam Botanical Garden on the first day and arrived at Fritillaria thunbergii Base on the second day. Now it is in the flowering period of Fritillaria thunbergii. I thought I could see Fritillaria thunbergii in full bloom, like soldiers with small tendrils, standing neatly in the fields.

But when I arrived at the base, I saw the green plants covered with ridges, but I didn't see any signs of flowering. My heart is full of questions?

Xiao Dong, who accompanied me, told me that in order to concentrate the nutrition of plants on the bulbs of Fritillaria thunbergii as much as possible, farmers would remove the stems of Fritillaria thunbergii during the growth of plants to prevent the nutrition from losing to the flowers.

Hearing this introduction, I can't help laughing and crying. However, it is normal for farmers to do so in order to ensure the quality of goods. After visiting many planting bases, I feel that it is not easy for farmers to make money. After hard work, it depends on the weather and market changes.

Fortunately, some fish escaped from the net in the field. Occasionally, you can find several kinds of flowering Zhejiang shellfish, so take photos as a souvenir.

Fritillaria thunbergii is a Fritillaria plant in Liliaceae. Leaves nearly strip-lanceolate, opposite or scattered at the bottom, scattered upward, opposite and whorled. Apex not curled or slightly curved.

1 ~ 6 flowers, light yellow, sometimes slightly lavender. The top flower has three or four leaflike bracts, the apex is curly, and the rest have two bracts. The beard we see is its bracts, not its leaves.

After the flowers of Fritillaria thunbergii wither, its capsule grows up gradually, about 2-2.2 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, and the wings at the edge are about 6-8 mm wide.

Bulbs of Fritillaria thunbergii are composed of 2-3 bulbs. Fresh bulbs are white, and the surface will turn grayish brown or yellowish brown after drying.

There are two ways to reproduce Fritillaria thunbergii, one is sexual reproduction with seeds, and the other is asexual reproduction with bulbs. When planted as a commodity, asexual reproduction is generally adopted. Bulbs are planted in September and June of 65438+ 10 every year, and plants are harvested in early summer and late May of the following year.

Fritillaria thunbergii, as one of the famous "Zhejiang Eight Flavors", is mainly produced in Zhejiang, Jiangsu (South), Hunan and other places. Fritillaria thunbergii planted in Xiangshan, Ningbo is relatively large, and it is called "elephant shell" and "big shell". There are many kinds of Fritillaria thunbergii in Dongyang area, which are called "Dongbei".

Many people have heard of northern Zhejiang, and their first reaction is that I have only heard of northern Sichuan. What the hell is northern Zhejiang? In fact, Fritillaria thunbergii appeared in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and the use of Fritillaria thunbergii began to appear in the late Ming Dynasty.

Both have expectorant and antitussive effects. Fritillaria thunbergii has the effects of clearing away heat and resolving hard mass, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, which is more suitable for acute cough, while Fritillaria thunbergii has the effects of nourishing yin and moistening lung, clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, which is more suitable for chronic cough.

In fact, in addition to Fritillaria thunbergii and Fritillaria cirrhosa, there are Fritillaria thunbergii and Fritillaria thunbergii as medicinal materials.
