Night Tour of Youth Lake (Photography+Essay)

Youth Lake is actually a reservoir, which was originally used as a water source. With the development of the city, the reservoir is now located in the urban area, and some buildings have been developed and built around the reservoir.

A few years ago, the city made a planning plan to rename the Youth Reservoir Youth Lake, which is no longer intended to be used as a water source. In this way, the periphery of the reservoir can be developed at will, and it is no longer restricted by the fact that it can not be developed within a certain distance around the water source, making contributions to the land economy and urban operation.

It is said that the renaming of the reservoir and the overall planning around the reservoir were not approved by the water conservancy department at the next higher level, and the planning ran aground.

There are several plots of land around the reservoir now. I heard that developers who are already interested are now at a standstill.

The youth reservoir has maintained its original appearance. Because of this stranded plan, the reservoir has another name, Youth Lake, which everyone calls open.

The dam of the reservoir is very wide, and it is also paved with cement pavement, which can drive vehicles in both directions. Railings are set at both ends, which are locked on weekdays and no motor vehicles are allowed to pass. On the contrary, two-wheeled electric vehicles and pedestrians can pass freely.

Because there was a lot of precipitation last year, the water level in the reservoir rose, and there were waterfowl when there was water, which became a place for nearby citizens to relax. No matter day or night, citizens walk here to exercise and enjoy the scenery of the reservoir.

I have worked in this city for five years and have never walked across the dam once. After dinner tonight, I came out for a walk and parked my car at one end of the dam. I walked back and forth to the dam and looked at my watch for half an hour. I took a few photos casually, which is also a visit.
