How to take a good product photo with a digital camera

Basic steps of taking good product photos

Step 1: Selection of shooting environment

Small commodities are to paste white paper around the inside of a large carton, spread a background cloth, buy several high-brightness energy-saving lamps and photographic lampshades. As a studio, indoor shooting is a bit expensive, and the baby can't shoot when he is a little older. Moreover, when shooting with energy-saving lamps, the white balance of digital cameras sometimes produces color difference between pictures and objects. In order to shoot the baby better, the ideal shooting environment is open air-there is no space restriction, and the cost of small equipment with self-luminous color difference is also very low.

Step 2: Background Layout

First, the stationery store buys two thick wrapping papers as background paper: one is white and the other is black (dark gray brown). The cost is 10.

Use white paper when shooting dark baby, otherwise use dark paper. Buy only white paper, because the details can be better displayed in front of the dark background of light-colored babies.

Step 3: Create a bright environment.

Try to find a completely open environment. There can be a white wall on the open space, so that the background paper can be pasted on the wall. Put the baby on the background paper and start shooting.

In the environment, only a single light source is used as a reflector, instead of sticking a piece of white cardboard next to the other window of the baby, so that both sides of the baby can receive light more evenly.

Step 4: shoot.

Step 5: Period Processing

Step is also very important, because photos pass regardless of brightness, contrast and clarity.

To modify (a picture or photograph) with a computer.

The software (or its image processing software) is improved by PHOTOSHOP.

Simple method for proces baby photos

1. Select Image-Adjust-Levels. Drag the small arrow on the right below the waveform diagram slowly to the left. Haha ~ the photo is getting brighter. Be careful not to drag it too far ~ it's too distorted.

2. Select Image-Adjustment-Curve. The mouse turned into a straw. If you want to brighten the picture, you will see a small dot flashing on the diagonal. Remember where the dot just appeared. Click with the left mouse button and drag it to the top to adjust the brightness of the picture.

3, there is an image-adjust the brightness, contrast, hue/saturation function, try it and you will be familiar with it ~

4. The photos taken by ordinary digital cameras (especially Canon) are quite different from those taken by SLR digital cameras-the sharpness is enough. We use Filter-Sharpen -USM Sharpen or Smart Sharpen to improve the clarity of photos.
