Brief introduction of Hou Bo.

Hou Bo (1924-), female, from Xixia County, Shaanxi Province; 14 years old, joined the China * * * Production Party in the Anwubao Youth Training Course of the Eighth Route Army Office in Xi 'an; Later, he studied in Yan 'an Border Middle School, Yan 'an University and Yan 'an Women's University. 1942 married the famous photographer Xu (19 16—2009).

After the end of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he served as the photography section chief of Northeast Film Studio and Beiping Film Studio 1949. In the same year, he was transferred to Zhongnanhai as the photography section chief of the Central Office of * * * *; Later, he served as a journalist of Xinhua News Agency, director of China Photographers Association, chairman of China Women Photographers Association (honorary chairman) and honorary director of Soong Ching Ling Foundation.

Hou Bo photographed hundreds of Zhang Zhengui photos of Mao Zedong and other party and state leaders in founding ceremony, National Day, the Third Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee, the National People's Congress, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and other places, met with heads of state and friendly people, met with celebrities from all walks of life in China, visited urban and rural people, and presided over important meetings in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. /kloc-visited the Soviet union with Mao Zedong and Soong Ching Ling in 0/957; 1964 went abroad with Soong Ching Ling and Zhou Enlai; and visited Britain and the United States with the China photography delegation.

Hou Bo was elected as the Party representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the invited representative of the 4th National Women's Congress, the representative of the 3rd, 4th and 5th Cultural Congresses, the outstanding party member of Xinhua News Agency, the heroine of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the individual pacesetter, the red flag bearer of the March 8th National Women's Federation and the representative of the 4th World Women's Congress.

Since 1986, she and her husband Xu have held various photo exhibitions in China, Japan, France and Britain.

Her masterpieces include founding ceremony, Chairman Mao 1959 Back to Shaoshan, Supreme State Conference, Chairman Mao's Work on the Plane, Chairman Mao's Friends in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and Chairman Mao's Stay in Beidaihe. There is also an album Yongle Palace and a collection of photographic works Road (won the first prize of China Book, the first National Excellent Art Book Award and the first National Book Award). In addition, she was awarded the first Lifetime Achievement Award for the Creation and Research of Plastic Arts by the Ministry of Culture.
