When I volunteered for the college entrance examination, I hesitated about Yunnan University and Xida University, but I finally chose Xida University. Let me talk about my feelings of studying in West University for four years.

The campus of Xida University covers a large area (about 5,000 mu), ranking among the universities in China. It surpassed Peking University in 2004 and now surpasses Tsinghua), which is equivalent to a small town. The campus environment is very good, the vegetation coverage rate is above 94%, there are nearly 300 plants, and the size is 14 lakes (hehe, my major is ecology. Beautiful scenery is important, but what has influenced me the most in the past four years is the humanistic background with both arts and sciences. Xida University was founded in 1928. After more than 80 years, it is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China. At present, there are more than 20 colleges and an independent college (the specific majors can be found on the Internet), covering literature, science, industry, agriculture, forestry, management, philosophy, education, art and many other aspects. My major in ecology is Bachelor of Science in Forestry. Because universities have gradually started campus management, and Xida University is no exception. The management mode of many other colleges is not very clear, but I still agree with the management mode of Forestry College. My major in ecology belongs to Forestry College. As soon as I entered the school, I was assigned a tutorial system, and we chose with the tutor in both directions. There are only 36 students in one class of our major this year, and our teaching and research section has 14 teachers (teacher-student ratio 1:2.5). Because we have two teachers for further study, each tutor takes an average of three students. As far as I know, China is now vigorously promoting the tutorial system for undergraduates, but in some schools, one teacher leads more than a dozen students in one grade, and I believe you can also see the effect.

University education, in fact, all schools are similar. After leaving the university and entering the society, what I feel most is that the most important thing in the university is learning skills, not only the skills of work, but also the skills of learning methods and survival. At school, we took part in many national-level jobs. For example, in 2009, 36 students in our class were in charge of the forest investigation in Rongxian and its surrounding areas, and our teacher took the initiative to give us lessons in advance. Then we worked in the mountains for three months in groups of two or three (by the way, I was a girl, and I cried during the first and second internships, but I gradually became stronger after repeated experiences). The rich social practice experience provided by the school during my college years is a rare asset in my life. It is precisely because these internships have sharpened my character that my parents feel that there is nothing wrong with sending me to such a distant place (my hometown of Hebei).

One feeling that Xida University gave me back was the relaxed campus life atmosphere. When you come to Xida University, you will feel that it is not only the cradle of culture and the temple of spirit, but also the stage for young people to affirm themselves. The school's rich club activities, from psychology clubs to roller skating clubs, from public relations clubs to film and television clubs, no matter what you like, you can always find a stage that suits you. I am a student cadre who grew up in the Youth League Committee. The youth league committees in other schools are always the most rigid and dogmatic places, but this is not the case in West University. Teachers give all the rights to students, and students can carry out activities freely and independently. Even every large-scale activity is invited by students to the media. In Xida University, as long as you can think of it, as long as it doesn't harm the interests of students, the teachers will leave us enough space to organize activities, and even we will contact famous bands in society (such as Hou Xian who graduated from Xida University) or other celebrities (such as Liu Yong) to bring them to the school for performances or lectures.

When I was a sophomore in West University, I had another chance to choose my second major. After choosing the second major, you can graduate with a double bachelor's degree as long as you complete all the credits. But, of course, choosing a second major means that you will lose a lot of extra-curricular activities, which is why I didn't choose a second major.

Let me tell you more about our employment. Because many majors in West University have already obtained master's degrees, and the employment in the past two years is not optimistic, so many students take the postgraduate entrance examination. Because, as long as you are admitted, schools can generally enroll at public expense as long as they are online. Take our class as an example. There are 36 students in our class, and 15 of them take the postgraduate entrance examination. Because of the professional relationship, 65,438+03 students in our class all work in forest farms or forestry bureaus, two of them are admitted to civil servants, and five of them work in private enterprises. I am very lucky. After graduation, I entered a local school in Nanning through exams and interviews. Regarding the statistics of employment in recent years, I recommend you to consult the relevant official documents.

I don't want to elaborate on the hardware of the school. I believe you have seen a lot on the Internet, and I just want to add a few words. The sports ground of Xida University is equipped with relevant facilities funded by Li Ning, and the library is funded by Li Ka-shing.

I have no regrets about coming to the beautiful green city Nanning and the beautiful Guangxi University. If I were to use a few words to describe Xida University, it would be: magnanimous, tolerant, subtle and wise.

Guangxi is a good place, with beautiful scenery, especially Nanning, which was rated as the best habitat award city by the United Nations. Nanning is the heart of ASEAN (if you don't know ASEAN, look it up online), and ASEAN is the heart of the whole world commodity market. The ASEAN Expo held in Nanning every year is a summit of concern to all countries in the world. In recent years, the state attaches great importance to the development of Guangxi Beibu Gulf (namely Qinzhou, Beihai and Fangchenggang), and various enterprises have chosen sites in Beibu Gulf, preparing to open up more and wider fields here (because of ASEAN's zero tariff policy), including the completion of Qinzhou Refinery of PetroChina on 20 10 and the construction of Sinopec Beibu Gulf Petrochemical Processing Plant. It is because of the rapid development of Beibu Gulf in the past two years that many people have seized the opportunity to invest in Nanning.

I dare not say anything about the character of people in other places, but I still have a say in Nanning. Chengdu said that Chengdu is a city that you don't want to leave when you come. But now, I think it should be changed to Nanning, which is a city that doesn't want to leave when it comes. Basically, foreigners who come to Nanning to study, develop and invest will be reluctant to leave, not only because there are four seasons like spring, but also because it is a friendly and inclusive city. If I remember correctly, during the New Year's Day this year, CCTV 2 broadcasted a series of programs called "20 10 Impression of the City". I have also been to Kunming twice, once in 2000 and once in 2008. Kunming is also beautiful, a veritable flower city. Different cities have different personalities, and different personalities also give birth to different universities. I hope you won't be disturbed by others and choose the one that really suits you. I remember before I went to college, many people didn't understand why I went to Guangxi so far away, but I only knew that I liked this place in Guangxi. My experience tells me that it doesn't matter what your major is or what your school is. The key is that you must like that place, because only where it suits you can you display your talents without pressure. Remember, you must listen to your inner voice!
