I said this from the beginning because as a person who loves Nolan's works, I am worried about the trend of deifying Nolan now. This is not necessarily a good thing for Nolan. For example, in this Inception, I saw some faint bad signs.

I want to talk about the shortcomings of this film before the film review.

The first shortcoming is the intention of the story. This story is actually about a very immoral thief who brought down a large multinational company. Although Ken Watanabe keeps saying that he is trying to save the world's energy, in my opinion, it is not convincing.

So it seems that there is something wrong with the mentality of watching movies. Because the protagonist is doing bad things, for a virgo who is morally clean, the more he looks at it, the more complicated his mood is. Later, I had to hypnotize myself: you have to believe that the protagonist is doing good things. Look at DiCaprio's face that hasn't changed since Shutter Island.

For this, I hope everyone will adjust their mentality. Perhaps the only good thing the protagonist did in this is to make the victim and his father get back together.

But you have lost hundreds of billions of people's wealth, and the price is too high.

When I carefully analyze the mental journey of a character in a movie and the story created for him in the movie worldview, it is really a sign of addiction.

So, with this shortcoming I mentioned, let's go to see Inception in Nolan.

Nolan is not the first person to tell a dream, nor will he be the last, but he must be the one who speaks his mind best.

Inception's story begins with DiCaprio's painful awakening at the seaside. Anyone familiar with Nolan will know that this is his favorite piece. When you sit down in the cinema, watch those jumbled trailers and advertisements, see the unchanging dragon sign of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and then see the big brand of the film company, the story will come into your eyes. No subtitles, no movie titles, unlike Nolan.

The opening story uses double dreams to quickly let the audience know what the movie is, and there is no voiceover to explain the world view, but Nolan will not be too obscure. As an audience, you just need to think about 1 minute, and you can roughly understand what the world view of the film is.

It's simple.

Contemporary, one year, the US military invented a dream sharing device. To put it bluntly, this thing can let others enter someone's dream, and everyone will get together and dream. Anything can happen in a dream. Gay men can be straight, and their first love can be found again. The Kuomintang was not defeated. You can be anyone you want.

The reason why the US military developed this device is to train soldiers. Because what happened in the dream is extremely real and the cost is low, there is no need to drive warships to the South China Sea for exercises all day, which has been sternly condemned by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. And it's much more complicated than war games, training a person in all directions.

But this device has a side effect, which is subconscious invasion.

Just as white blood cells in the body will kill bacteria (DiCaprio contributed to this sentence), and the brain will send out pain signals to warn you when there is a wound in the body, so people's subconscious will reject some unreasonable things that do not belong to them. Therefore, if you are in a dream created by others, your subconscious will create many crises in this dream so that you can't live. For example, there will be many black sunglasses pointing guns at you, and passers-by will push you down and stab you to death. Anyway, in order to protect you, your subconscious tries to kill you in your dreams, so that you can wake up and know that you are dreaming.

So probably because of this extremely troublesome side effect, the US military did not use this weapon in large quantities.

Later, somehow, it fell into the hands of our DiCaprio classmates. Nolan, if you say something, you will die.

But our DiCaprio classmate drank a coke. About 10 years ago, he had not had enough love addiction on a big, big ship. After he got this device, the first thing he did was to dream with his wife marion cotillard. In his dream, he was fooling around with the sea.

Because this dream is extremely beautiful and dreamy, and it happens to be the ultimate harmonious society pursued by this loving couple, there is no trouble created by a subconscious mind.

And because time passes slowly when people dream, the time in dreams is 20 times that in real life, and they can continue to dream, which is 400 times ... So going back and forth and living in dreams is actually another angle of eternal life.

DiCaprio and marion cotillard probably took a fancy to this, so they dreamed for a long time ... fifty years! Of course, in real life, it's only a few hours.

However, they didn't find another very troublesome and dangerous side effect brought by dreaming.

If you dream for a long time, you will think, is all this real or illusory? China's famous thinker, Mr. Jia Zhuang, and performance art Zhuangzi's views on man and the universe? He thinks it is necessary to combine nature with people and forget things. Because of this, DiCaprio's team finally failed in the dream of stealing Ken Watanabe, the boss of the big consortium. Ken Watanabe discovered the irrationality of dreams.

Later, Ken Watanabe threatened to let DiCaprio return to the United States freely and safely, and asked DiCaprio to perform a task for himself.

This task is called Inception.

Inception's goal is the son of a big boss who crosses the energy enterprise. This enterprise is said to have mastered more than half of the energy in the world. I guess it must be the top of the world's top 500. Potato ... is it PetroChina?

Besides, this big boss is ill recently and will die soon. His heir is his only son, Cillian Murphy the Scarecrow in Batman.

Ken Watanabe hopes to implant an idea into Cillian Murphy through Inception, that is, to dissolve the company founded by his father.

In other words, DiCaprio needs to make some modifications to Cillian Murphy's subconscious in his dream, so that he feels that he should dissolve the company.

Of course, if DiCaprio is like me, the film should be subtitled within 30 minutes.

For the sake of justice and love, for everyone to have fun in the cinema in the next two hours, and for reunion with their children, DiCaprio accepted the task without hesitation.

How to make this goal come true? How to change the protagonist's subconscious? DiCaprio put forward the concept of "three-layer dream" with great foresight.

In other words, you are dreaming, dreaming, and then dreaming.

In the dream of dreams, in the dream of dreamers, dreams cannot be blown away like the wind. In one dream after another, instill this consciousness bit by bit, and finally make you believe.

To enter such a deep dream, the medicine prepared is very harmful to the body. If you are not careful, you will never wake up.

More importantly, DiCaprio, as a dream thief, can't know the details of the dream architecture of the dream architect in order not to let his subconscious mind do mischief. Moreover, there is a principle in dreaming, that is, you can't build a city with your own memory, otherwise you will get lost in it and don't know what is real and what is a dream. But this little guy DiCaprio is not feeling well. He said this to others, but he was secretly building dreams with his own memories. In this dream, he and marion cotillard have been in love.

The following story is divided into two parts. Part of it is a three-tier dream to instill ideas into Cillian Murphy. There are even more dangerous and complicated levels 4 and 5. This is DiCaprio's adventure to get rid of marion cotillard and save Ken Watanabe.

This is the core content of the film, with a duration of 100 minutes. This 100 minute does not need to be repeated too much. I believe that the audience will feel Nolan's awesome power and the tenacity of the film in this 100 minute.

Very enjoyable, very overbearing, very cool. Exquisite and thought-provoking storyline, actors' acting skills in place, gorgeous photography style, overwhelming grand music and ingenious computer special effects. Inception's computer special effects are different from Transformers. Transformers is a standard American fast food from beginning to end, while Inception will gradually make some amazing special effects scenes in very real scenes. I think it is meaningless to compare Inception with The Matrix. The ideas and starting points of the two films are different, and the story content is also very different. You can't say that dreaming is the theme, can you? The Matrix is more about what is the meaning of a person's existence, what is real and what is not. This is the philosophical thinking of Zhuang Zhou and become a butterfly, but Inception hardly discussed this point. Its focus is to tell what kind of influence a person's subconscious will have on a person.

In the second dream, Joseph Gordon Levitt defended the sleeping people.

I think this shot can best reflect the director's calm and proud attitude in shaping the world outlook in his works. Ellen page plays a dreamer in the film, but Nolan in the real world is not a dreamer who works hard for everyone's dreams in the cinema.

Of course, I think old Du Can charged a copyright fee for this lens. Because when this scene appeared in the movie, it suddenly reminded me.

However, Nolan plays with the narrative with film skills, and after being fragmented, the story becomes complicated and interesting.

Inception and Nolan just paid tribute to Memento and used a little narrative skill. His greatest contribution to this film is that there are not many deep dialogues for the audience to think about. He won't tell you directly what the protagonist will do and why, but let the audience think with questions, watch the movie carefully and find the answer by themselves. And this answer is actually not hidden deep, so this film is not difficult to understand.

Let me give you a simple example. After entering Cillian Murphy's first dream, it suddenly began to rain, and a bunch of people were caught in the rain, obviously unprepared. What is the reason? Next, in the dialogue, the answer is given. It turns out that someone in this dream drank too much champagne and was in a hurry to pee.

Didn't we all have this dream? When we are in a hurry, we will have fewer toilets everywhere and have water-related dreams.

Nolan likes to set the details in this way, so that the audience in the film can have a lot of fun in the process of finding the answer to the question. This is also a great motivation for the film to be watched repeatedly.

I like the ending of this movie very much. It is warm and touching. In my memory, this is Nolan's warmest time. No one died or was disabled. Even the victim, Cillian Murphy, had a warm farewell with his father at least in his dream.

DiCaprio, in particular, can finally be reunited with his family. I was really afraid that he was walking in the airport and was suddenly stabbed or shot. It's too common in movies.

Fortunately, Nolan is particularly warm this time. He gave everyone a happy ending. Moreover, he also takes care of the world where the audience likes to be immersed in the movie after watching it, the last shot. Did the gyro stop or not?

This is an obvious question, but it will certainly be debated repeatedly.
