A 30-Day Tour in India-A One-Day Tour in Delhi (2)
Ragdo 1993 was selected as a world cultural heritage, which is a representative building of the early Islamic invasion of India. It is a round maroon with five floors. The tower is 72.56 meters high, with a bottom diameter of about 14.4 meters and a top diameter of nearly 2.7 meters. It is the tallest building in Delhi and one of the most beautiful stone pagodas in the world.
This is the oldest mosque site in India-the Kuwatule Mosque beside the pagoda. The whole scenic spot looks very harmonious and distinctive.
Although there are some broken walls in front of us, we can still imagine the glory and momentum of that year from some well-preserved stone pillars.
This ancient iron pillar standing in the temple is said to have been built 1000 years ago during the Gupta dynasty. The iron column is 7 meters high and weighs 6 tons. Although it has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain, it never rusts and is known as a must in India.
Look, the gun I brought is very distinctive, haha!
The Jama Mosque, the second stop in Delhi, is located in the northeast corner of old Delhi and is one of the top ten mosques in the world. There is only one stop from Delhi Railway Station by subway, and the scenic spots are free to visit. Opening hours are 7: 30- 12: 00, 13: 30- 18: 30. It costs 200 rupees to take pictures. Women can bring their own scarves and aprons or wear robes provided by mosques. The price is 100 rupees, and they need to take off their shoes to enter. Looking at shoes costs 65,438+000 rupees.
Jama Mosque is the largest mosque in India. There are long arcades on both sides of the gate, and the arches are exquisite and beautiful.
At noon, sitting quietly on the stone steps at the gate, watching flocks of gray pigeons fly briskly over the white marble dome in the scorching sun, the picture is smart and full of life.
The mosque covers an open area, and the courtyard is a square paved with nearly 10,000 square meters of red sandstone. Many local people come here to pray and bow down. Cameras can't be brought into temples. These photos were taken by mobile phones, and the images were not clear enough, so I had to make do with my friends.
Jama Mosque has a small area, and it will be over in one and a half hours' walk. Get on the tugboat and go straight to Hongbao. In India, you must have a strong ability to prevent deception. You should use the travel notes you read before you leave. Do you think the fare ordered by the driver is appropriate? Be sure to confirm with him repeatedly before getting on the bus, including the joint luggage of two people. It's best to write it in black and white on the note, so that he won't be broken. Do we get scared when we see the mirror? It is necessary to wear a mask to prevent sun and dust.
It was past three o'clock in the afternoon when we arrived at Hongbao. It is said that it is very similar to Agra Fort in Agra, but the scale is not as good as Agra Fort. Our last stop was Agriburg, so we only took a look at the photos outside the main entrance and went straight to the India Gate in Delhi without entering the interior tour.
This is the crowd queuing in front of the Red Fort in Delhi to buy tickets. Quite a lot.
The Red Castle in Delhi is a typical red sandstone building in Mughal imperial style, and the magnificent red walls can provide a glimpse of the past glory.
In the evening, we arrived at the India Gate in Delhi, which is located in the center of New Delhi. It was built by the British colonial government to commemorate the 70,000 soldiers killed in the First World War between Britain and India. Surrounded by a wide grassland, the day I arrived happened to be the weekend (Friday and Saturday). I saw many local families traveling, taking their wives and children for a leisurely walk and having a good time.
The Gate of India is about 42 meters high and made of red sandstone. It is the most famous political landmark in India, and it is also equivalent to the "People's Monument" in India. There are two Indian gates in India, and the other is in Mumbai.
Indian women basically wear their traditional dress sari, which is brightly colored, beautifully decorated and very feminine. I really like to see their backs, their waists are round and their hips are fat, and they are very charming and chubby and cute when they walk.
A group of Indian women and children are resting and chatting in the garden around India Gate. They saw me come and sit down, cast strange and enthusiastic eyes, and we took a group photo together happily. Indians like to be photographed by strangers. When they see you with a camera on the road, they will take the initiative to come over and ask you to take a picture of him. When you're done, everyone will say thank you, thank you. What's more, I didn't watch it after the filming, so I was satisfied and walked away happily. I still don't understand what they think, which provides great convenience for me to take many cultural photos.
There are three flagpoles on the east side of India Gate, which are hung with the flags of Indian armed forces, showing the soldiers on duty.
There are quite a few locals visiting here. Blankets are everywhere in the park, family picnics have started and some people are preparing food.
Police can be seen in the streets, scenic spots, stations and any place where there are pedestrians in India. They are carrying live ammunition, but don't be afraid. When you need help, you are all enthusiastic, serious and patient. Praise me!
Between the India Gate and the Presidential Palace is a wide and straight avenue. The parks on both sides of the road are shaded by trees and covered with green grass, stretching for several kilometers along the avenue. The surrounding air is fresh, there are not many people, and the roads are clean and tidy, which makes people feel very comfortable. People wear fashionable and beautiful clothes, which is completely different from the old Delhi near the railway station. They don't feel that this is India at all.
You can see the presidential palace from the India Gate. I thought it was very close, but I didn't know it. I haven't arrived after walking for more than an hour. It's getting dark. Standing in the distance, I got on the nearby subway with a hazy vision and returned to my residence.
The arrangement of this day is compact and orderly. After returning to the hotel, I cooked porridge with my own mini rice cooker, served with salted duck eggs and pickles, and it was delicious. Having said that, I also want to remind my friends who want to go to India for free travel. If you are not used to curry food or weak intestinal function, I suggest you bring a small rice cooker. It is very useful to cook some rice or noodles by yourself. Friends who are used to drinking hot water can also cook some water by themselves when they go out. The hotel there doesn't provide kettles. Also, perhaps because of the water quality, even if the water in India is boiled, many people will not adapt to the intestines after drinking it, and it is easy to have diarrhea. We basically drink bottled mineral water and replenish water along the way. When you are away from home, health comes first, remember! (To be continued)
