How to shoot running animals
1. Photographers who shoot wild animals are in a passive position and cannot dominate the behavior of animals. Therefore, first of all, we should be familiar with the habits and laws of life of wild animals, and we can observe them ourselves or consult local people.
After mastering the habits and activities of wild animals, photographers can turn passive into active. At this time, your observation ability will also change greatly, and you will find many scenes, such as the moving scene of "mother and son" eating at the same time, the scene of "lovers" falling in love, the scene of "children" playing and playing, and the rare courtship scene.
2. If the subject is far away and you want to make the subject bigger, you can use a rangefinder. Generally, 1.4 times rangefinder can be used.
3. If the subject moves regularly in a certain range, it is best to set the focus in this range when shooting, so as not to lose the shutter opportunity and take a clear picture. After the focus is locked, make a composition and observe the action of the subject. When you press the shutter, you can observe it from the viewfinder, or you can observe it directly with the naked eye or through a telescope without the viewfinder, and release the shutter with a cable.
4. In order to take satisfactory photos, it is better to take a few photos of continuous shooting in continuous shooting mode and choose the best one or two, which is safer.
Generally speaking, wild animals move very fast. In addition to still pictures, high-speed shutters of 1/250 seconds and 1/500 seconds are used for dynamic shooting. When fast-running animals move laterally in front of the camera, it is sometimes necessary to use a high-speed shutter of11000 seconds. The principle of mastering the shutter speed is that the subject needs a high-speed shutter when moving horizontally in front of the camera, and the shutter speed can be reduced accordingly when moving vertically.
