Prose of Baota Village Surrounded by Cherry Blossoms

There is a Baota shan in Guangxing Town, Jintang County. The foot of the mountain is full of cherry blossoms, peony flowers and Gesang flowers. In the splendid sea of flowers, tourists are weaving. Stroll through the flowers for photography and leisure, leaving the most beautiful memories. Tired, having a cup of tea in the farmhouse and eating some local products will still enter the fairyland. Standing on the top of the newly-built pagoda with a tower height of 1.8m and a diameter of 5.8m, you can see mountains, flowers and rows of fruit trees in an unobstructed view. This is the essence of the well-known "Hua Tian Guang Xing".

Guangxing Town has many rivers, shallow hills and fertile land. Here is the landform of shallow hills, the hills are not very high, there are many cultivated lands and abundant water resources. When Huguang filled Sichuan, the Liu family came here and settled on the side of a pagoda. This mountain doesn't look high, but it is actually the highest mountain because it is surrounded by gentle slopes. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can see Fiona Fang dozens of miles away. The Zheng family of Liu Jiahe aborigines live in harmony. They work at sunrise and rest at sunset. They cut down a lot of local bamboo on the hillside, built thatched huts, planted crops and raised livestock.

The days are getting better every day. Liu's family started farming, digging and reclaiming hundreds of acres of land in panic. Raising pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks, the grain is abundant and the six livestock are prosperous. After a few years, the Liu family accumulated a lot of money, which alarmed the bandits nearby. The bandits know that the Liu family is a foreigner, and there is no one to help them locally, so it is easy to steal. One night, bandits stormed into the Liu family with gunpowder and torches, wounded the family and took away a lot of money and food, making the family very popular. After being robbed, the Liu family discussed what to do together. After careful consideration, the Liu family decided to move and build their house on the top of the mountain in Baota shan. Baota shan is very high, and it is difficult to attack Zhouyi, so it is not easy for bandits to come up.

So it took the Liu family nearly two years to build a big quadrangle on the top of the mountain, and then cut the periphery of the mountain into a vertical shape so that bandits could not climb it. Built a magnificent mountain gate. Once the gate is closed, no one can reach the top of the mountain. After the restoration, the Liu family called this mountain "Baota Village", and the name of Baota Village has been passed down to this day.

There are many tile houses in front of the stockade, which can accommodate more than a dozen families. In order to thank the Zheng family, Liu invited them all to move into the stockade to ensure their safety. In this big stockade, Liu and Zheng Hemu get along and live and work in peace and contentment. Later, bandits attacked Baota village several times, all in vain.

In order to thank the local people for taking care of the Liu family, the Liu family built a temple at the foot of Baota Village, called Chuanzu Temple. There are many bodhisattvas in it, and people get together when they worship their ancestors. Neighbors nearby are very grateful to the Liu family for their kindness and take the initiative to help the temple maintain and manage. It was not destroyed until the 1960s.

Legend has it that there are treasures under Baota shan. At dusk, I saw a pair of white BMWs come out for food and water, and ate up all the wheat seedlings nearby. When the villagers approached, they found nothing but horseshoe prints. Some people say that BMW is hidden in the cave. I also heard chickens crowing at night. Legend has it that there is a pair of golden roosters at the foot of the mountain. People also want to look for them, but they are still missing, only a few chicken feathers are found. There is a big hole at the foot of the mountain. The hole is very small and there is a lot of space. There are stone piers, stone forests and a few bodhisattvas in it. It is said to store grain and sweet potatoes. It is also said that BMW and Jinji live at night. The silent night sky is often broken by the crowing of chickens and horses. People are used to being with them, saying they protect their villagers, so they stop looking for them. With the protection of BMW and Jinji, dozens of miles around Baotazhai are in good weather and a bumper harvest is in sight.

At the foot of Baotazhai Mountain, there is also a bamboo forest, which is dense and the quality of bamboo is good. Now it is used to make steamer, and the products sell well. This bamboo forest is also called sparrow forest. Legend has it that there is a white sparrow, which has become fine. At dusk, a large number of sparrows gathered in the bamboo forest, singing at the tip of the bamboo, bending the bamboo. A delicate white sparrow is a good partner of people. If bandits invade at night, white sparrows will fly to the stockade and keep singing to remind people, so everyone should be prepared. In the 1960s, in order to prevent sparrows from stealing rice, people drove them away with bamboo poles, and then the number of sparrows here gradually decreased. It is still called "Sparrow Forest".

After liberation, Chengdu people heard that there were BMW cars and golden roosters here, so they came to Baota Village not far away to look for treasure. They drilled into the center of Baota shan with a drill, but found no treasure. In the end, they all returned empty-handed.

In the new society, public security has improved and bandits have gradually decreased. In addition, farmers make a living by farming, so it is inconvenient to climb Baota Village every day. People gradually build houses and settle down at the foot of the mountain to facilitate farming. The number of people living on the mountain decreased until they all moved down the mountain. Because the stockade on the mountain was uninhabited and not maintained, the tile houses and mud walls gradually declined. It was not until the gate was demolished in the last century 1968 that the buildings in Baota Village disappeared at the top of the pagoda, leaving only memories for people.

Liu and Zheng lived in Baotazhai for generations. The Liu family planted cherry blossoms and peony flowers in the east of Baota shan, and the Zheng family planted mixed oranges and other fruits in the west. Nowadays, with the vigorous promotion of the government, Baotazhai area has become the largest rural tourism center of Huatian Guangxing, the largest cherry garden in southwest China, and there are nearly 1,000 mu of peony gardens. The scenic spot provides stoves, firewood and tableware free of charge.
