How to raise bees?
Many people want to keep this kind of wombat, because they are very cute, so they are deeply attracted. Let's get to know them first. The honey bag is a small animal with a bag, just like kangaroo, but much smaller than kangaroo, but it comes from the same hometown as kangaroo, that is Australia. They like to eat tree rice most of the time. They also have two lovely names: Australian flying kangaroo and sugar bag. They can fly because there are synovial membranes on both sides of their bodies, from the joints of their hands to their ankles. They are similar to our sliding clothes that challenge the limits now. They can glide on the treetops for a long distance. When they are ready to take off, they will look at the distance, then smell and fly out, so that they can land with their hands accurately. When they are not flying, their flying membranes will shrink and hang down at their sides. Bees have slender hands and feet and sharp nails, which are good for climbing. As an arboreal animal, bees will push their powerful hind legs hard, which will help them take off. The long tail can help bees master the direction and stability of their bodies before landing on all fours. Bees have fluffy blue-gray fur, thin and pointed ears, big and round eyes, a very light and petite figure, a cream-colored abdomen and unique black spots running through the back. The scrotum of male bees is in the center of lower abdomen, and there are secretory glands on the chest and top of the head, while the ventral line of female bees has a pocket parallel to the body, hence the name. Honeysuckle is Nocturnal Animals, most of which are active at night and usually sleep during the day. Bees are social animals, so when you treat them as pets, you must keep a pair, otherwise they will hurt themselves because of loneliness. Bees are small animals that are easily tamed by people. They like to be close to people, stick to people and carry them with them, so some people call them "Xiaomi".
Preparations for keeping bees
There are certain conditions for keeping bees. If you can accept these conditions and don't really like them on a whim, then keep a pair. First of all, you need to be able to accept their taste, but if you are diligent and actively do their hygiene, the taste is still very small, and the smell of bee feces hardly exists, but urine has a taste, and the taste will increase because of the different foods you eat, while the taste of male bees will change and deteriorate during estrus. Honeysuckle is a kind of Nocturnal Animals, so in the middle of the night, when you are asleep, you will become active and bark. Although it is not as loud as a dog barking, it is loud and can basically wake you up, so it is not suitable for keeping in public living environment, such as dormitory, which will disturb others. If you are afraid of noise, it is not recommended to raise it. Bees need time very much. They are clingy and need to play with them more so that they can get closer to you. Therefore, people who love to go out to play or are busy are not suitable for raising. Raising bees requires a certain economic foundation. First of all, bees are not very cheap, there are basically thousands of them. Bees are social animals. In order to prevent them from suffering from depression and self-harm, they need to raise a pair, and then they need to buy nests and cages. If they are very young, they must need cages, otherwise you can't find them in the blink of an eye, even though they are not snacks. For bees that can't be trained to go to the toilet somewhere, they may pee on their owners at any time. If they can't stand it, they can't keep it.
Bees' diet
Decided to keep a pair of bees, and let's learn about their eating habits together. They are Nocturnal Animals, so evening is the best time to feed them. They like sweets, flowers, nectar and pollen, and insects. This is their eating habit in the wild. When we raise them, we can feed them the special bee feed we bought, and at the same time provide them with some fruits and nectar candy they like, but we must not eat them. Will lead to their death, strawberries, peaches, apples can be fed, as well as pumpkin seeds and almonds. When feeding, ensure that their protein intake is not less than 25%, especially during the breeding period, and it is better to be higher than 50%. To ensure that they have clean water, it is necessary to regularly supplement pesticides, pine sawdust, poisonous plants, direct glare and so on with calcium and other nutrients (1). (2) The grid of cage bottom should not be too large, and the spacing between cage wires should be between 1 ~ 1.2cm. (3) It is best not to use a round hole-shaped opening in the cage, which is easy to repel the honey master. It's best to have two or three sleeping bags made of cotton cloth, and don't use towel cloth, because fibers may cause harm. (4) Eucalyptus branches must be placed in cages, which is beneficial to the prevention of dental diseases and health. (5) 75% of food nutrition is vegetables and fruits, and 25% comes from other sources in protein. Occasionally, give omnivores and vitamins and minerals. (6) It is best not to use sawdust as bedding material. First, some volatile oils contained in sawdust can easily cause respiratory allergies in bees. Second, it is difficult to treat intestinal obstruction caused by bees eating sawdust by mistake. (7) The milk powder that bees drink when they are young must be lactose-free milk powder. Millet is lactose intolerant and prone to diarrhea. Protein and calcium deficiency is a common problem in marsupials, which is caused by improper diet. In fact, bees not only eat fruits and vegetables, but also need animal proteins, such as insects (see diet). Calcium deficiency may be manifested as loss of appetite, muscle weakness, trembling and arrhythmia. [4] Lameness caused by bone injury, paralysis caused by broken spine, and negligent diet usually lead to death. Please change the correct diet as soon as possible. Protein and vitamin deficiency may lead to immune system imbalance, mucositis, loss of appetite, weight loss and other substances, such as vitamins and minerals, so give them less high-fat food.
Precautions for bees
Honeysuckle is a kind of Nocturnal Animals, so it will be rejected by sunlight, so there should be no strong light. They are very sensitive to pesticides, pine sawdust, poisonous plants and other animals. So, don't use sawdust and the like in the nest. First, it is easy to cause them to be allergic. Second, it is difficult to treat intestinal obstruction for fear of mistreatment. It is best not to use a round hole-shaped open nest in the cage, so it is easy to repel the honey Lord. Although I don't know why, it's best to prepare two or three sleeping bags made of cotton cloth instead of towel cloth, because fibers can easily cause them injuries. The grid at the bottom of their cages should not be too big, and the distance between grids in cages should be between 1 and 1.2 cm. Eucalyptus branches must be placed in cages, which is conducive to preventing their dental diseases and keeping healthy. When I was a child, honey bees drank milk powder without lactose, otherwise it would be easy to have diarrhea. Lack of protein and calcium is a common problem in honey bags. Due to calcium deficiency, it will lead to loss of appetite, muscle weakness and arrhythmia, and it is also easy for bone damage to cause lameness and paralysis of spinal fractures. However, lack of protein and vitamins will lead to imbalance of immune system, mucositis, loss of appetite and weight loss, so negligence in diet will lead to death. Therefore, the host must pay attention to his diet. Honey bags should not only eat fruits and vegetables, but also need them. Bees' cages should be upright, so that they have enough height to put some leaves. You can put a small blanket under it in winter, or try to keep them warm with yellow light, but not too strong. If there are other pets at home, they must be isolated to prevent the bees from mental trauma and death caused by cat and dog attacks. They are very fragile. Because bees are very small, we must pay close attention to them to prevent them from getting lost.
How to tame bees
Number one: Make friends with it. Don't always disturb it when you first come, let it get used to you. Bees can't wear perfume and scented hand cream. They are very sensitive to smell. Don't scare them. They are extremely timid animals, and you can only take it step by step. You can slowly seduce them with snacks to familiarize them with the taste of your hands.
The second point: the method of cloth wrapping, which can safely stay in the cloth wrapping and occasionally reach in and touch it. However, this method can only be put into the cloth bag after bees have become accustomed to humans, and can only be chosen when sleeping during the day. Put the bag with rope in the cage first, and then take it out when it falls asleep. But when it is playing, don't force it into a cloth bag to play. It's better this way. Cloth bags can be hung on your body and put in your clothes to get bees used to your smell. This method only applies indoors, not outdoors. Because the bee sleeping in the cloth bag may need to go to the toilet after waking up, when it crawls out, it should be put back to the toilet or a fixed toilet place to let it go to the toilet. In order to prevent bees from escaping, the cloth bag should be made of sealed but breathable cloth bags. It is recommended to use a brushed fabric material that is not easy to hook toenails, but skin folds will still appear after long-term use, so check and replace it regularly. If the honey-coated bird doesn't like cloth bags, don't use this method, don't scare it into talking to it gently, and feed its favorite food with its hands. These methods can also tame it.
The third point: taming bees is suitable in a small environment, preferably in a tent. First prepare a book you read in the tent, the snacks that bees like to eat, bring it into the tent after waking up, put away the sleeping bag, and then read without disturbing them. It will gradually feel your breath and then come to you.
