Handmade simple lotus lanterns

The simple lotus lantern is made by hand, and the manufacturing process is as follows:

The production of lotus lanterns includes tying the skeleton, pasting the frame, pasting the petals, installing the flower heads and so on.

1, binding skeleton

Cut the packing tape into 62 cm (1 piece) and 40 cm (3 pieces) for later use. Take a 62 cm packing tape and mark it with 6 equal parts in red ink. Pay attention to leave 1 cm at the head and tail for handover. Then, use adhesive tape (iron wire or thread is also acceptable) to tie three 40 cm packaging tapes with the long loops respectively. Then take the appropriate length of packaging tape to complete the lantern skeleton. Finally, tie the lotus head with an appropriate length of iron wire. Generally, there are five flower heads, two below and three above.

2, pasting frame

Apply hand cream first to protect your hands from sticking. Spread the 1/6 frame evenly with all-purpose glue, and gently stick the semi-circular non-woven fabric prepared in advance on the frame, paying attention to stick it along the frame. The other five equal parts are papered in the same way, and then the extra non-woven fabric is trimmed off with scissors to ensure the smooth surface of the lantern. Finally, take transparent paper as the upper frame of the lantern and paste it.

Step 3 stick petals

Make petals from petal paper prepared in advance. Clamp one side of the petal with tweezers, gently pinch a corner of the petal paper with your hand, and tie a corner with copper wire to make a petal. From the top of the lantern, stick 6 petals in turn. Select the middle and lower positions of the two petals on the first layer, start pasting the petals on the second layer, and so on. * * * Stick 5 layers of red petals and 2 layers of green petals, and stick the bottom green petals in turn.

4, flower head

Tie the flower heads and lotus buds prepared in advance to the iron wire tied in the first step, and wrap the iron wire with a green plastic pipe to decorate the lotus root. Finally, find a stick to insert into the lantern line and put the small LED light in it.
