Where is Sagittarius in the sky? What shape is it?

Sagittarius is a very important constellation in astronomical observation, because the center of our Milky Way is just in the direction of Sagittarius, so when observing Sagittarius, we can see that the Milky Way is passing by on the west side of Sagittarius. If you look at the Milky Way with a telescope in this direction, you will find that the stars are particularly dense, and there are several bright stars in Sagittarius. This area is also a treasure house for observing nebula clusters, among which M8 "Lagoon Nebula", M 17 "Omega Nebula" and M20 "trifid nebula" are the most popular among photographers. The M8 lagoon nebula can be seen with the naked eye. To the west of Sagittarius L is a bright star cloud in the Milky Way, which also contains a cluster. The lagoon cluster is about three times as wide as the full moon and about 5200 light years away from the earth. In the cluster part, the brightest cluster is M22, which is located not far east of Sagittarius L, and it is the third brightest globular cluster in the sky. When the weather is good, it can also be seen with the naked eye, which is about two-thirds the size of the full moon. Open clusters include M23, M24, M25, etc. They are located in the northwest of Sagittarius and can be easily seen with binoculars.
