Historical information of 798 Art Festival

On the one hand, the 798 Art Festival in 2008 brought together the academic forces of Chinese and foreign art circles, art critics and cultural circles through exhibitions and forums, so as to enhance the artistic taste of the 798 Art District, consolidate its academic status and continuously refine the essence of China's contemporary art. On the other hand, it promoted the cultural interest of Chinese and foreign tourists and citizens in participating in contemporary art through various public activities, so as to let more people know about the creative achievements of contemporary art, especially China's contemporary art, and bring about the sustainable development of the 798 Art District.

2011At 3 pm on September 24th, Beijing 798 Art Festival kicked off in 798 Creative Square. The 798 Art Festival is hosted by Beijing Cultural Development Foundation, Beijing Chaoyang District Cultural and Creative Industry Development Center and Beijing 798 Art District Management Committee, and is undertaken by Beijing 798 Cultural and Creative Industry Investment Co., Ltd., 798 Art Foundation, Beijing Chaoyang District Cultural Center and Zero Art Center. This 798 Art Festival mainly sets the tone for the ten-year development of 798 Art District. The title of "1998 Photography Retrospect Exhibition" occupies the large exhibition hall of Creative Square, which shows the historical pictures and wonderful moments of 798 Art District in the past ten years. After preliminary examination and review, more than 200 classic works were selected from more than 10,000 works of/kloc-0 collected by photographers from all walks of life.
