Can Canon 70D support WiFi transmission?

Canon 70D has built-in Wi-Fi function, and you can remotely control the real-time display shooting after connecting it to your smartphone. Sharing your favorite photos with friends and family is also one of the joys of photography. The EOS 70D can easily transfer the images in the camera to your smartphone through the Wi-Fi function, allowing you to enjoy the high-quality images of a digital SLR camera.

The EOS 70D’s built-in Wi-Fi function allows for flexible remote control shooting. After downloading and installing the dedicated smartphone program EOS Remote, you can use your smartphone to remotely operate the EOS 70D.

How to use the Canon EOS 70D WIFI function:

1. First, open the wifi function in the MENU menu, and connect and set up the wifi function.

2. After entering the wifi function menu, first choose to connect to the smartphone.

3. Select the connection method: (1) Camera access point mode (2) Infrastructure mode. Select (1) Camera Access Point Mode to select the next step.

4. Next, proceed to the network settings. There are two options: 1. Easy connection (fully automatic) 2. Manual connection. Choose (1) Easy Connection and leave complex LAN settings to EOS 70D.

5. Eventually the camera will give the name and key of the camera access point.

After setting up the camera, download the EOS Remote software from the app store, turn on the wifi function of the device, search for the name of the camera access point and enter the key to complete the connection.
