Gail Harold was born in Decatur, Georgia, USA on 1969. His mother is a real estate agent, his father is an engineer, and there is a sister and a brother at home. After becoming famous, Harold kept a low profile and rarely mentioned his past, but people still heard that he grew up in an "eccentric Pentecostal" environment. Jack London's novels, david bowie's rock music and Tolkien's wizard Gandalf can be said to have the greatest influence on him.

After graduating from high school, Harold entered an American university in Washington, D.C., majoring in football while studying for a degree in literature, but he left school after a year and a half because of a conflict with his coach. Later, he came to San Francisco to study photography at the San Francisco Art Institute, during which he worked as a mechanic and a construction worker. 1997 At the suggestion of his good friend Susan Landau, Harold moved to Los Angeles for three years to continue studying drama performance. At the age of 28, he joined the famous acrobatic troupe. In 2003, Gail Harold starred in The Awakening, which was produced by Susan Landau and directed by her husband Roy Finch. This film can be said to be tailor-made for him, and martin landau also made a guest appearance.

At the end of 2000, SHOWTIME, an American cable TV station, launched the TV series Queer as a Folk Song, which was adapted from the British TV series of the same name. Brian Kinney, the central figure played by Gail Harold in the film, can be said to be the first gay character portrayed positively in the history of American television, and it has also caused great controversy. In 2005, five seasons of Homosexuals put Gail Harold firmly at the top of almost all classic gay character charts. Later, he played the leading role in the Fox series "Into Thin Air" which started in August 2006, and played a federal agent, but his role died after eight episodes. Since then, the ratings of this series have dropped significantly, and it stopped broadcasting in 165438+ 10. In addition, Harold made a guest appearance in HBO costume drama Dead Wood, CBS action drama Secret Service, and made his latest appearance in ABC hit drama Grey's Anatomy. In 2006, together with his idol david bowie, he joined the ranks of executive producers of the documentary Scott Walker: People in the 30th Century, which is related to the life of rock idol Scott Walker in the 1960s. In 2007, Harold starred in the romantic comedy Falling in Love with Grace, which was directed and starred by Chinese-American female directors Lee Hyo Ri.

Gail Harold grew up in Atlanta, southwest Georgia. When he was a child, his parents were respected Christians. Fortunately, under the influence of London, Gandalf and David Bowie, he was not influenced by the strange fallacy of Pentecost because he grew up in the south. After his childhood playmates left in large numbers because of "white fights" in the late 1970s ("white migration" or "white escape" in the early 1990s), he did not join any organization, and the whole high school floated in various socio-economic theories and sought asylum. He once won a certificate and scholarship in American football, and began his liberal arts degree in romantic literature at American University in Washington. However, in view of disagreement with him, he left school after a year and a half. He left the capital to continue his research at the San Francisco Institute of Nephrology. Therefore, he had to abolish the scholarship, which finally prompted him to make a new plan.

After being introduced to Joan E. Scheckel, a talented actor and director, he moved to Los Angeles and began to study and explore drama for three years. This made him play the rabbit for the first time in Cynicism and cymbeline Farmer's Me and My Friends at the L.A. Theater Center. He also played a ticket inspector in Paul Scheuring's 36K. He was later seen by a noise inside the classical drama company to complete the actor development plan. During this period, he also performed in World-weary and cymbeline. He played Brian Kenny in the British entertainment version of Homosexuals.
