Candidates who apply for Chinese Language and Literature (program hosting direction) major (undergraduate) in taiyuan normal University must take the provincial joint entrance examination for hosting and broadcasting major.

Who enter oneself for an examination of Shanxi Normal University radio and television director major (undergraduate) and provincial higher vocational colleges director major (specialist) candidates, must participate in the provincial entrance examination (specific work undertaken by Shanxi Normal University).

All candidates who apply for the major of Art Design (Fashion Design and Performance) in Taiyuan University of Technology (undergraduate) and the major of Fashion Performance in provincial higher vocational colleges (junior college) are required to take the unified examination for fine arts majors and the provincial joint examination undertaken by Taiyuan University of Technology.

Candidates who apply for art can also report to other departments and majors in history or science and engineering.
