Is the United States still using f4 fighters? Does F4 have only one seat? What's the difference between f4EJ in Japan?
2. There is no single seat type. Planes are designed for multi-functional purposes, so a pilot can't complete all tasks at all.
3. Japan f4j mainly has the following improvements:
1987, Japan began to implement the F-4EJ equipment updating plan, and updated its existing 125 F-4EJ 100: installing an /APG-66 fire control radar, LN-39 inertial navigation system, head-up display and CP-/kloc. It will be called F-4EJKai after improvement. These aircraft will be able to carry AIM-7E/F sparrows and AIM-9P/L rattlesnakes, and have the ability to look down/shoot down. They can also carry two ASM- 1 anti-ship missiles for anti-ship missions. In addition, Japan also plans to convert another 17 F-4EJ into an RF-4EJ fighter/reconnaissance plane. These aircraft and the existing 14 RF-4EJ will be equipped with Texas Instruments' An /APQ- 172 radar and digital display, and its electronic intelligence pod is developed on the basis of Thomson -CSF's Astac system. Astac。 The modified aircraft will be mainly used for close air support, and will no longer perform interception and air defense tasks. It is estimated that 1995 will complete all the modification work.
The Air Self-Defense Force introduced RF-4E 14 in 1972, and 12 is in service. RF-4E is a tactical reconnaissance aircraft widely used by American allies. Originally equipped with AN/APQ-99 forward-looking radar, AN/APD- 10 side-looking radar, AN/ASN-55 inertial navigation device, AN/AAS- 18A infrared detection device, J/APR-2 radar warning equipment and engine room. An /APQ- 172 radar with image processing capability replaced the original An /APQ-99 radar, and J/APR-5 radar early warning device replaced the original J/APR-2 radar.
There are three kinds of reconnaissance cameras in RF-4E engine room, namely KS-87B forward reconnaissance camera, KA-9 1B high-altitude omnidirectional reconnaissance camera and KS- 127A long-range reconnaissance camera. Model KS-87B is a reconnaissance camera, and the lens focal length can be set at 3, 6, 12 and 18 inches. This camera adopts negative film system, with a width of 5 inches and a total length of 500 inches. The machine integrates automatic exposure control and pre-compensation, and can take 6 photos per second. KS-87 system is the most widely used reconnaissance camera in the world, and KS-87B can take pictures in the direction of forward tilting and vertical scrolling. KA-9 1B is an omni-directional reconnaissance camera with a focal length of 9 1 inch. It can take a wide range of wide-angle photos with a film with a width of 5 inches and a length of 500 inches, which is suitable for reconnaissance photography tasks in the middle and high altitude. KA-9 1B adopts modular design to simplify maintenance. The biggest advantage of this camera is that it can scan the cross section, set different scanning angles for cross tracking, and shoot freely from left to right or from 60 degrees to 93 degrees. The camera also has a built-in rolling stabilizer to ensure the quality of the film. KA-9 1B also adopts a special pre-compensation device for driving lens in order to reduce the blur of photo images caused by carrier movement. KS- 127B is a reconnaissance camera installed in the cabin of a reconnaissance plane, which is especially suitable for long-distance tilt photography. It can work with photographic film or photoelectric sensor. KS- 127B lens has a focal length of 66 inches, and uses a negative with a width of 5 inches and a length of 1000 inch, which has the characteristics of active and passive stability, autofocus and anti-shake.
4EJ is a new tactical reconnaissance plane modified by 1993. This plane is equipped with new radar and navigation equipment, including AN/APQ- 172 forward-looking radar. After modification, the reconnaissance plane can use three kinds of reconnaissance cabins according to the needs of the mission. When performing tasks, these cabins are usually installed on the belly line of reconnaissance aircraft.
The first type of cabin is Tactical Reconnaissance (TAC) cabin, which contains three cameras, namely KS- 153A low-altitude reconnaissance camera, KA-95B high-altitude reconnaissance camera and D-500 low-altitude night reconnaissance camera. KS- 153A is installed at the front of the cab. It is equipped with three lenses with a focal length of 80 cm to take pictures of the inclined target in front of the reconnaissance plane. KA-85B is a compact omni-directional camera. Equipped with 12-inch lens, using 5-inch negative, wide-angle photos can be taken, and the maximum coverage angle is 190 degrees. The biggest advantage of this camera is cross-section scanning, which can set up up to six cross-tracking scanning angles. It adopts modular design and has the advantage of convenient maintenance. D-500 is an infrared scanner (1RLS), which is developed from AN/AAD-5 1RLS. It can shoot infrared continuous pictures in wide-angle and narrow-angle modes on the ground, and can be automatically corrected electronically when shooting.
The second is the LOROP module, which is equipped with KS- 146B camera, and photo observation windows are installed on both sides of the middle section of the module. The KS- 146B camera is equipped with an ultra-long lens with a focal length of 1650 cm. It is controlled by the pilot and takes oblique photos of the target area at high altitude. This camera has a high resolution. When the reconnaissance plane flies at an altitude of more than 30,000 feet, it has the ability to identify 1 meter-long targets in the range of 18.5 km to 92.6 km. The latest EDKS- 146 camera replaces the traditional photographic film with CCD sensor array, which can instantly transmit the reconnaissance image to the ground receiving station in digital form or record it with airborne digital tape.
The third type is Tactical Electronic Reconnaissance (TACER) module, which adopts electronic reconnaissance equipment of RP222780-G0 1, and can detect and receive various radio waves in a large range, determine their transmitting positions after identification, and transmit them to ground receiving stations for processing. After equipped with tactical electronic cabin, RF-4EJ can perform electronic intelligence gathering tasks.
