Generally, the tone of a photo will be determined in ACR (or you can use LR in the same way).

These two adjustments are very important for color tone, but the important premise is that the photographer himself has a clear idea of the final desired effect of the photo. Usually we take pictures with automatic white balance, which is also an important step to correct the white balance of group pictures.

The above picture shows the color tone of the picture after ACR adjustment. There are several important adjustments:

Color temperature: because the film I expected was dark yellow, I added color temperature; Generally speaking, I won't adjust the color tone too much, as long as I can't see the obvious color cast with the naked eye.

Dark tone: of course, reducing exposure is the simplest and most direct, but at the same time I want to darken the dark part again, so I turn down the shadow and black part; Because I don't want the picture to appear dead black (in fact, this photo was originally adjusted, and later I found that there was dead black in the darkness, especially the hair details were almost gone, so my shadow and black were transferred back to other photos in the group photo; If the dead black is caused by reducing the shadow or black, in this case, you can use the adjusting brush in ACR to reduce the dark part, or you can use the lens to correct->; Lens vignetting reduces dark parts according to the method of adding dark angles; This specific situation is analyzed in detail and the reasons are clear. ) Always lowering the contrast is also to prevent the occurrence of dead black.

By the way, I'm used to grinding my skin before color mixing recently, which is just a personal hobby. Don't pay attention to these details. If you want to grind the skin, you often use external portraits. I've said it many times.

I also want to say a few words about dermabrasion. In fact, the skin of the models in this group of works is already very good, so some friends will say that it doesn't look like it needs polishing.

Many friends have a little misunderstanding about peeling. In short, my principle is 1, and the skin details should be in; 2, the skin color should be normal. Many people have skin problems, so they come back and ask me why my skin is always badly dressed, or I inflate the doll, or the color is yellow or blue, which always looks strange. In fact, portrait painting is not only used to smooth the skin, but also has several important functions.

warm tone

In the column of enhanced functions, there are three adjustments I often use: warm tone/tone/brightness.

I won't say much about brightness. The skin turns white and bright, which is easy to understand and commonly used.

Warm tone is the warmth of skin, in short, the color concentration of skin. For example, if the warm tone is raised, the skin will become redder or yellower, and in short, the color will be thicker.

Then a key is color tone. Tone adjustment is usually crucial, depending on whether you want your skin to be yellow or magenta.

In my imagination, there are a pair of ... oh, no, in my imagination, most healthy faces in the normal direction are white and red, so generally speaking, I will adjust the color slightly in the magenta direction.

Of course, specific analysis of specific problems, your environmental light is different, the skin color itself is different, and the adjustment will be different. However, these three adjustments are very important.

In fact, in many cases, the more layers you adjust, the better. The key is whether the effect you can achieve by adjusting the layer meets your expectations.

I used two adjustment layers for this picture, both of which have optional colors.

The reason is the same as what I said at the beginning. I hope to reduce the richness and level of colors and make the photos darker.

So the first adjustment layer is to adjust the green color.

When it comes to optional colors, it is easy for everyone to understand. If you adjust the green, adjust the green of the optional color. Then this is another experience.

That is to say, when most colors need to be adjusted by adjusting the green phase, it is often not enough to adjust the optional color green. In all my photos, as long as the color can be changed to green, it will be changed to yellow. (Theoretical explanation)

As for the above adjusted data, you don't have to be too serious. To put it bluntly, it's all on trial. On the one hand, you know what effect each tab adjustment will have (it doesn't matter if you don't know, try it); On the one hand, fine-tuning according to the adjusted effect can generally meet your expectations.

However, I still turned the green a lot. You can try to adjust yourself. Have time to sum up an experience and post it.

Adjust the layer

This adjustment layer is only adjusted to green, which is convenient for later differentiation and fine-tuning.

The second adjusting layer adjusts the volume tone. In general, it is to adjust the three colors of black (dark part), white (highlight) and gray (neutral color) among the optional colors.

Because the tone of this photo has darkened, the main adjustment is the black (darkened) part.

Then be sure to remember that when you change the optional color to black, you should start slowly, and fine-tuning will usually have an effect.

(In fact, the reason is very simple. Which part (neutral highlight in the dark) occupies most of the picture, and adjusting the optional color of this part will change the overall tone. )

In short, the main purpose of the above adjustment is to add some cyan to the dark part. This is not the most critical, it is all personal preference for details.

Finally, just liquefy it (it seems that you don't need too much liquid) and sharpen it for preservation.
