Can lung cancer films be found out?

1 can lung cancer be detected by filming? This is of great significance to the clinical diagnosis of lung cancer. Most lung cancers can be detected by filming, and most types of lung cancers can be basically determined. If some lung cancers can't be confirmed or detected by radiography, they need to be confirmed by other tests.

What kind of lung cancer can be detected by radiation examination? X-ray examination is the most commonly used means to diagnose lung cancer, and it is often used to examine several types of lung cancer, such as central lung cancer, peripheral lung cancer, isolated bronchioloalveolar carcinoma, diffuse bronchioloalveolar carcinoma and so on. CT examination can show small nodule lesions of lung more than 0.2-0.3cm, which is of great value for early diagnosis of lung cancer.

What kind of lung cancer can be found by filming? Not all lung cancers can be detected by filming. There are three main ways to check lung cancer.

X-rays and chest X-rays can't detect all lung cancers. If the lesion is located in the bronchus or less than 1cm, or the lesion is located in pneumonia, spine and the back of the heart, it is often not easy to be found by chest X-ray examination.

Chest CT examination Chest CT examination is usually used for positive examination of sputum cancer cells, mainly used to find tumor lesions hidden in atelectasis or consolidation lung tissue. It is of diagnostic value for the lesions behind the heart, behind the sternum, at the apex of the lung, mediastinal fat, posterior costal septum angle and so on, which are considered as blind areas in X-ray chest film. It has more clinical significance for the diagnosis of aortic hypertrophy, lymphadenopathy before organs and tracheal bifurcation.

When lung cancer has been basically diagnosed, MRI examination can be used when the tumor type and disease stage need to be more clear. It is often used in clinic to help determine the surgical treatment of lung cancer.

Besides filming, what other methods are there to check lung cancer? Shooting is of great clinical significance to the examination of lung cancer, but not all lung cancers can be determined only by shooting. Besides X-ray, there are other methods to check lung cancer: physical examination, sputum exfoliation cytology, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, bronchial tomography, digital subtraction angiography, percutaneous lung biopsy, radionuclide examination, intracavitary ultrasound, metastatic lesion biopsy and so on.
