What does art include?

Art in a broad sense refers to various skills. Art in a narrow sense only refers to artistic creation in spiritual culture, that is, music, dance, painting, sculpture, literature, drama, film, calligraphy and photography. They are spiritual products that are directly divorced from utilitarian needs and specifically meet people's aesthetic needs.

In ancient Chinese, "skill" means skill. The word "Texvn" in ancient Greek refers not only to art, but also to production and handcraft. In Latin, the word "ars" means art, handicraft and skill at the same time. This artistic concept, like "skill", is out of date now. Its disadvantage is that it is too broad, which is applicable not only to art, but also to all fields. Many works in pre-Qin China and ancient Greece called riding, shooting and cooking art, and Plato even called business "the art of profit". In later works, the term "military art" is often used with "military science". Clever political skills are sometimes called "political art". ..... In short, all high-skilled expressions and products can be called art ... According to this artistic concept, there is no strict difference between art and non-art, and ordinary houses and cars can have their own artistry, but they are not art. If we can't roughly define the boundaries between these things and art with some artistic concept, then this concept is not practical and can't answer the puzzling artistic questions in modern people's minds.
