Horyuji, one of the oldest temples in Japan, was built by the stable prince, who is said to have introduced Buddhism to Japan. Located in the west courtyard of the temple, the main hall, the quintuple tower and the main entrance were built in the 7th century and are considered to be the oldest existing wooden structures in the world. Near the West Yard is a newly-built zoo. This hall shows some works of art in the temple. The main attraction of the East Yard is Dream Hall, which is a visual hall. From 65438 to 0993, Horyuji was listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO. Unlike many other Japanese historical sites, Horyuji can use wheelchairs and provide brochures in different languages.
Japan's World Heritage
Japan's World Heritage
If we add Hokkaido natural heritage, *** 10 cultural heritage and three natural heritages that were registered just last year.
Here is a brief introduction to the places I have been.
The ancient capital Kyoto:
1200 years history
When I first came here, I wondered why Kyoto had so many world cultural heritages. Later, I found that ancient Kyoto has 17 human landscape.
There are Jingu Temple, Yinta, Kiyomizu Temple, Xihong 'an Temple, Dongsi Temple, Nijo Castle, Shanghemao Shrine and Xia Ya Shrine in the city.
Lanshan area includes Longan Temple, Ningna Temple, Kezan Temple and Saihe Temple.
Uji District includes: Byodoin Temple, Uji Shangshilin and Dawu Temple.
Behind the mountain: Yanji Temple.
Personally, I think it is worth seeing Jingu Temple, Tianlong Temple, Kiyomizu Temple, Dongsi Temple, Yinta Temple, Nijo Castle and so on. And different seasons have different feelings, especially the red leaf season is the most beautiful, and the cherry blossom season has different feelings. People who are interested in temple architecture have really gained a lot from coming to Kyoto, but unfortunately I am not interested in temples.
Nara, the ancient capital:
The history before Kyoto is 1300 years.
Dongda Temple, as well as the ruins of ancient cities and so on. The big wooden Buddha in Dongda Temple is really spectacular, but it seems that everyone goes to Nara not for the world cultural heritage, but mainly for the deer. Although it is a wild deer, it is no longer wild. It's fun to get along with people and run all over the street. It's better to go in spring. Male deer have beautiful horns and deer, and it is the worst to go in winter. Bare deer heads are also bare everywhere.
Okinawa's Ryukyu Kingdom Heritage;
This is a small country occupied by Japan, and it can also become a world cultural heritage. Due to its short history, the ruins of the ancient city on the top of the mountain remain intact. Although the country is small, it still has a certain momentum. See Notes on Charming Okinawa.
Mimiya Island (Yandao) Shrine in Hiroshima Prefecture
Known as one of the three major scenic spots in Japan, it is really beautiful. Surrounded by mountains and waters, deer trees are red tiles. How can it keep up with the eight customs in Qingdao? The landmark buildings include the well frame of the shrine, a tall temple and the backyard complex of the shrine. The well in that shrine was marked as being in the water at high tide and in the sand at low tide, but it was blown by a typhoon last year and rebuilt. There are also some not-so-beautiful deer wandering around, adding a lot of color.
Hiroshima Yuanbao Park
The park stands by the river, and the scenery is really good; The original explosion memorial hall is exquisite; The statistics are very accurate; Photos, models and objects are also very sad, but traveling to China always has a complicated feeling.
I remembered a clip I saw on TV. Last year, Japan made great preparations for the 60th anniversary of the original explosion, and invited an American photographer, an 80-year-old man, to record the atomic bombing that year. At that time, a victim's representative went to ask the American troops who had caused such great harm to Japan whether he felt guilty and whether he should apologize to the Japanese people. At that time, the US military answered simply, never owed anything, and never apologized. The Japanese still don't want to ask why, and the answer is Pearl Harbor. The host quickly changed the subject, let's pray for world peace and never have war. The answer of the American army is even more wonderful: [I hope so, but Mr. Bush, I don't know]. On this topic, Japan Radio turned to ask Japan to apologize to the Asian people. The US military does not apologize for the war damage, and Japan does not need to apologize. This is the logic of some Japanese.
The Cemetery of Jiyi Mountain in Wakayama County and Shen Dao
I just went there on August 4, and I feel ok. The main attractions are more than 65,438+000 temples, courtyards and various cemeteries distributed on Mount Keya. The central figure is the empty sea Zen master who went to study in China in the Tang Dynasty. It is said that many giant pines on both sides of the cemetery and Ginseng Road are thousands of years old. The temple courtyard is not as exquisite and magnificent as Kyoto, but the problem is that the traffic is dangerous and inconvenient. An hour's trip to Panshan Road is not a nine-turn 18 turn. On average, there is a curved mirror every 30 to 50 meters, and I am unconsciously worried that if the car accidentally rushes down the mountain or the mountain collapses. Imagine that 1200 years has touched so many monks who practice and cultivated the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties.
Hezhang Village, Baichuan Township
In our remote rural areas, there are many kinds of houses built of straw, which has also become a cultural heritage. But I have to admire them for protecting it or building it.
Hikiji City, Hyogo Prefecture
When I changed trains, I saw a small white castle in the distance. I don't know what history it has or what treasures it has.
Buddhist architecture in Horyuji area of Nara
I haven't been to the cultural heritage registered last year, and I'm not interested.
Natural Heritage of Hokkaido
Zhichuang Peninsula just logged in last year. Watching TV videos is really beautiful. Forests, oceans, nature, life and scenery. I'd love to see it, but it takes a lot of time and money to go to Hokkaido.
There are also three projects, namely Yakushima in Kyushu, Brocade Temple in Limu Prefecture and Baishen Mountain in northeast China. I'm not very interested now. I'll talk about it later.
