How to use color photography filter

A variety of color-sensitive films can be shot under suitable light, and the color saturation effect can be obtained without filters. However, in the case of improper illumination, and in the case of using light-type color film in sunlight, or using sunlight-type color film in illumination, appropriate filters must be added to correct and compensate the color light to adapt to the color balance of the color film used. Filters commonly used in color photography include color conversion filter, light balance filter, color compensation filter and so on. There is a difference between sunlight and light in a light source. Although both of them contain red, green and blue light waves, their compositions are different. Sunlight has more blue light, with a color temperature of 5500K, and more red light, with a color temperature of 3200K K. Sunlight has a high color temperature and a low color temperature. In order to meet the needs of different color temperatures of sunlight and light, there are also differences between sunlight and light when designing and manufacturing color films. Daylight color film requires that the color temperature of light source should be balanced at 5500K K, and light color film requires that the color temperature of light source should be 3200K K. Only in this way can color photos get the correct color, otherwise, color cast will occur. Therefore, different filters must be used to correct and compensate the colored light. The color conversion filter is used to change the color temperature of the light source. This filter can change the color temperature of different light sources to meet the needs of different types of color films. For example, a blue filter must be added when shooting with sunlight color film under light. Because there are more red and orange light than sunlight, but less blue light, the blue filter is used to absorb red light and supplement blue light to correct the balance between colored light and sunlight. When sunlight color film is used to shoot under the tungsten light with a color temperature of 3,200 K, it is necessary to add a blue Leiden 80A filter to shoot under the strong light with a color temperature of 3400K K ... There is also a color compensation filter, which is mainly used to correct the color of photos when color negative enlarges, also called CC filter. It can control red, green and blue light. Color compensation filters are mostly cyan, yellow and magenta complementary colors, each of which has more than ten different density grades, and can be used in combination with two different color filters. It is an indispensable filter to enlarge color photos. If the color shift occurs on the color negative, this filter can be used to correct it later, but the color reversal film cannot be corrected later. If the color temperature of the light source is unbalanced, a suitable filter must be used to correct it when shooting.
