Introduction to Children's Day on June 1st:

Starting from 1949, People's Republic of China (PRC) officially designated June 1 as the International Children's Day. Schools generally organize related group activities for this purpose, requiring students to dress formally (wear white shirts and blue pants before popularizing school uniforms). Although Hong Kong is a part of China, the date of Children's Day in Hong Kong is the same as that of Children's Day in Taiwan Province Province, China, both on April 4th.

In China, every year on Children's Day, the school organizes some collective activities, prepares some programs in advance to celebrate children's day, friends exchange gifts, parents fulfill their children's wishes on that day, take their children out to play or have a big meal, and so on.
