Shooting skills of figures in snowy days
First, the preparation work before shooting in the snow
1. Location selection
In order to shoot a good work, the choice of shooting location is very important, and it is necessary to step on it in advance, which is different from ordinary models. You may need to step on it the day before shooting, because the snow will melt.
In addition, it is best to choose a place with open space, so as to shoot works with strong atmosphere and space, and it is easier to set off the temperament of the model.
2. Arrangement and preparation of characters
Attention should be paid to the arrangement of clothes and accessories, because the snow is white, you should choose brighter clothes and accessories to highlight the characters, so that the color of the film will look better. However, if there is a specific theme, you can choose it according to your needs.
Two: shooting technical points
1. Snow is white. If white takes up most of the picture during communication, it will cheat the camera's exposure system, resulting in gray photos, so we generally need to increase the exposure compensation of 1 to ensure the normal presentation of snow.
2. In order to show the layering and transparency of the snow scene, it is recommended to use backlight and side light when shooting. Of course, the light is soft.
3. In order to better represent the blue sky and improve the color saturation, a polarizer can be used to reduce the reflection of white snow.
4. When shooting portraits, it is very important to use flash or reflector to supplement the light, and at the same time, you need to use a hood to deal with artificial light sources.
5. Portrait shooting generally uses a large aperture to blur the background, but when you are in the snow, you should pay attention to the explosion. If necessary, you can add grey mirror to avoid this situation.
7. The shutter should be selected as required. Generally, a slow shutter can be used to express the dynamics of snow, and the shutter speed can be accelerated to capture the wonderful movements of characters.
Three: Customs protection of photographic equipment
As the saying goes, "if a worker wants to do a good job, he must sharpen his tools first", so let's start with the preparation and protection of equipment. There are two challenges in taking pictures on snowy days: low temperature and humidity.
1, photographic equipment keeps warm or reasonably saves electricity, or comes with its own battery. (Generally, the working temperature of a digital camera is 0~40 degrees. The low temperature is mainly affected by the camera battery, and the power consumption rate will be much faster than normal. )
2. Prepare 1~2 plastic bags and rubber bands. A plastic bag can wrap the camera, then cut a hole in the lens and fix the plastic bag with a rubber band. At present, many cameras have waterproof bags for diving in case of shooting. You can visit major camera accessories stores, from large SLR to small SLR.
When we want to enter the room, we can put the camera or mobile phone in a plastic bag and seal it. After entering the room, moisture will condense outside the plastic bag. If you get wet, don't turn it on in a hurry. You should leave it indoors for a while until the water evaporates, or you can blow it with a hair dryer, but remember to use normal temperature air. Note: If the lens becomes foggy when you enter the room, don't wipe it first, but it will be fine later. Don't blow directly with your mouth when the temperature is low, because the hot air from your mouth will melt the snow and quickly form frost and stick to the lens. 4. Take photos outdoors for a long time, and try to wear light and warm clothes to facilitate activities. It is best to use waterproof fabric to shoot clothes in snowy days to avoid melting and wetting clothes. Gloves are also suitable for simple operation of buttons. Of course, hats and scarves are needless to say, and they can also be used as a cold shield for cameras when they are not worn.
Four: Simple skills
1, simple composition
If you are a street photographer or a minimalist photographer, then the snow scene is a great gift. It's pure white when it snows, so it's easy to take simple photos.
Step 2 choose the right time
Photography is the art of exhausting light. In snowy days, the photos taken are more layered and aesthetic. When snow covers the earth, the sky and the earth are white. If you shoot in the early morning or evening on a sunny day, you can better show the texture of snow. If it is a village or a rime in a snowy scene, good light can better render the atmosphere.
3, color contrast
Monotonous pure white is easy to cause visual fatigue after watching it for a long time. At this time, it is even more eye-catching to set off the snow scene with contrasting colors.
Skills of shooting snow scenes
Set off the atmosphere of ice and snow with the colors of nature.
Although the world of ice and snow is cold, the scenery is like a fairy tale. In order to keep the pure world in nature in our shutter forever, we must know some skills of shooting ice and snow in cold winter.
Nature is colorful. We can compare the colors of nature and ice and snow. The natural colors mentioned here include some trees, rocks and blue sky in the north. In winter, air permeability is better than other seasons. Against the sunshine, the leaves of trees are yellowish, reddish or even green, while the ice and snow are white. With these elements, the color of the picture is rich.
It's time to shoot ice and snow.
When shooting ice and snow, it is best to choose early morning and night. Because there is too much light during the day, it is not easy to shoot good works. Ice and snow are white at the normal color temperature, that is, in broad daylight, but we can use the color temperature in the morning and evening to make the snow show different colors, where the light is golden and the shadow is blue. This contrast between cold and warm colors can make the picture lively at once.
Control the color tone to take a snow scene
Whenever there is heavy snow, the mountainous areas in Wanjiang area are as beautiful as the northern countries. The sun is shining in the snow, standing on the hill, looking from a distance, the mountains are covered with snow and ice, and the mountains are covered with silver, which is spectacular and enchanting. Compared with the thickness of the surface snow in the north, the snow in the south of the Yangtze River is less atmospheric and more graceful. Shooting the snow scene, especially emphasizing the level and texture of the snow surface, is the key to the ultimate success or failure of a work.
event
Broad and grand scenes can always show their due momentum. But close-up framing pays more attention to composition. Look back from a distance, calm down a little, and be in a bamboo and wood world with uneven thickness, different heights and different shapes. The branches and crowns of every pine, fir and bamboo are covered with snow. Starting from the middle scene, taking three or two trees or even a single tree as the shooting object, we can describe the main shape and even the local image in full frame. In order to highlight the snow, you can choose a deeper scene as the background; In order to enhance the depth of space, snow branches and snow-covered buildings can be used as the foreground. Horizontal grid is conducive to the performance of open and broad scenes; The mullion is suitable for representing the tall and majestic space, leaving room for imagination for the upper and lower parts.
Shutter speed
On both sides of the mountain road, streams and waterfalls are heard from time to time. The ideal viewing area of stream waterfalls is often in mountains and rivers. Down to the bottom of the stream, the rocks and springs embedded in the stream are covered with white snow, which is in harmony with the trickle. Under the action of diffuse light, white snow and dark water have both contrast and layering, which is a good woodcut print. When shooting waterfalls and flowing springs in snowy days, you can save virtual and real images on the screen. The slow shutter speed should be used in conjunction with the tripod, so that the exposure time can be extended and the depth of field can be larger. If necessary, the shutter speed can be reduced by adding neutral grey mirror.
white balance
If you shoot a snow scene in sunny weather, using automatic white balance may lead to high color temperature and blue photos, especially in shadows. At this time, you should choose an appropriate white balance setting such as "daylight". You can also use the gray card to customize the white balance before shooting or adjust it later. If you think the white snow scene is not atmospheric enough, you might as well make it warmer. However, Leng Xue's photos are helpful to express "cold" feelings.
composition
Although the snow scene wrapped in white looks spectacular, it is likely to be very monotonous in the photo. A white painting without bright spots has no aesthetic feeling. In all landscape photos, finding interesting points is an effective method. Pay attention to find something eye-catching and interesting as an ornament in the snow scene, such as a plum blossom in the ice and snow.
