He told reporters that up to now, 30 cities in the region have launched emergency plans according to the forecast results and implemented large-scale emergency linkage to deal with heavy polluted weather. Among them, Shijiazhuang, Hebei, Zhengzhou, Henan, Linfen, Shanxi and other cities started the red warning of heavy pollution weather, Jinan, Shandong, Taiyuan, Shanxi and other cities started the orange warning, and Binzhou, Shandong and other four cities started the blue warning.

Yun Shize said that due to the uncertainty of recent meteorological conditions, the Ministry of Environmental Protection will encrypt the frequency of forecasting meetings and adjust the original weekly meetings to once a day to further improve the accuracy of forecasting. He pointed out that the Ministry of Environmental Protection requires all localities to adjust the warning level as soon as possible according to the latest forecast results. At the same time, the Ministry of Environmental Protection has deployed a large number of super stations on the transmission channels in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas to carry out radar and navigation observation, and track and grasp the pollution components and dynamic changes in real time.

According to Qi Shize, in response to this pollution, the Ministry of Environmental Protection sent 13 inspection teams to inspect key areas, and 14 they were in place. He said that unlike the past, the Ministry of Environmental Protection has innovated the inspection method and implemented the combination of provinces and ministries and cross-enforcement. "For example, Hebei inspects Henan and enhances law enforcement." Qi Shize revealed that the 13 inspection team is composed of law enforcement backbones deployed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The 13 inspection team mainly conducts cross-inspection in Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong and Henan provinces, with the aim of ensuring that emergency measures for heavy air pollution in these provinces can be implemented.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection also "uses satellite remote sensing, drones, grid maps and other means to carry out supervision and inspection of small enterprises such as scattered pollution in districts and counties." Qi Shize said that large-scale key source enterprises monitor through online monitoring data, and once they find that they exceed the standard, they will immediately send law enforcement personnel to the site for verification and emergency treatment. He revealed that the Ministry of Environmental Protection will promptly announce the online monitoring of key source enterprises exceeding the standard and severely crack down on various illegal activities such as excessive discharge.

Qi Shize pointed out that the Ministry of Environmental Protection is working with local experts to deeply analyze the causes and transmission laws of air pollution in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas, study and put forward more powerful pollution control measures, and implement "winter disease in summer" to reduce air pollutant emissions from the source.
