However, in the cooperation with Su Yunying, the band found a meeting point to play the characteristics of both sides. In Mosthere, the steady remodeling stage continued, and even because of Su Yunying's participation, it added a little bright color of "ghost horse" to the rigorous remodeling.

"I feel that since I came to participate in this program, the appropriate rules should still be observed." East China, the lead singer, said that the band had never participated in a variety show before, and this time everyone found that many things really needed to be negotiated to achieve the effect of the show. Cooperation has given them a new understanding of many issues, which will eventually be reflected in the stage effect, and there will always be unexpected gains.

The band always gives people the impression of being calm, sharp and even paranoid, which keeps them away from the social circle, but ensures that they can concentrate on the ultimate music and performance. After three rounds of competition, the doubts surrounding Hot TROS gradually changed because of their charm on the stage. Someone joked that remodeling is a person who can't get used to it but can't do it.

At the same time, in this variety tour, remodeling has also made many concessions and changes such as reducing songs. East China admires the persistence and retreat of wild children, but they choose to cooperate with the rules and strive to present the best stage effect. This also constitutes the other side of remolding under the appearance of "unsociable" and becoming more "WTO".

The reshaped music structure is rigorous, and there are few changes and improvisations on the scene, which also makes the previously reshaped performances rarely cooperate with people. After understanding the rules of the Thunderbolt Cooperation Tournament, East China's first consideration is "If the structure is broken, the band's style will be gone." But because they wanted to cooperate, he and the band decided to "try to make the effect look better during the execution."

Su Yunying didn't know about remodeling before, but the running-in was smoother than expected. The band was attracted by the freedom in Su Yunying's nature and found the basis for cooperation. Because the time is tight, the remodeling leaves Su Yunying a space to play her natural freedom on the premise of ensuring that the song paragraphs are not affected. Different from reshaping the rigor and harshness of the past, the whole cooperation has become a process of mutual inspiration. Drummer Jin likened Su Yunying's participation to "free birds jumping freely on tense buildings".

Su Yunying's agility and vitality add a lot of color to the whole song. The reshaped adaptation skillfully retains the characteristics of both sides, making them once again contribute to the outstanding stage performance of the band in Summer.

"When cooperating with others, we need to take into account each other's characteristics and concerns, so that there will be cooperation. It is not that I am attached to you, nor that you are attached to me. " Huadong said that in order to achieve better presentation, to a certain extent, remodeling can be a little behind.

After the first three rounds of Summer of the Band, it looks rigid and rigorous. In fact, each round is subverting its previous image and striving to be open and accepted. In East China's view, not doing it before does not mean that the band has no such ability, but it is just a choice before. "But if we have to do these things under the rules, it's not that we can't." He said.

In the first round of song selection, in order to watch, the program group hopes to control the length of the song within 5 minutes. The early songs of the band were relatively short, but after drummer Jin joined, everyone just wanted to play songs. The shortest song "Pig in the River" also had 6 minutes and 40 seconds. If it is reduced to 5 minutes, it will destroy the structure of the whole music. East China directly told the program group "impossible". But in the end, both sides made concessions and made a stunning appearance in the show.

In the second round, only English lyrics were sung before, and the first cover of Chinese songs in the program was "The Love of My Life" in Cantonese. This is totally acceptable to the band. All members grew up listening to pop music and have no resistance to pop. The love of my life is a song that all three people like very much.

"Adapting these songs is not our strong point. Fortunately, picking a song that we have emotions will make it easier and the process will become less skilled. " Huadong explained that this means that the band can use emotions to complete the creation, rather than simply using skills.

The band prepared for this song for two or three days and rehearsed it twice. The whole process went very smoothly. Especially after the beginning of a long period of music, the addition of the golden drum has a icing on the cake for the whole music. After the rehearsal, the band claimed to be confident of the result.

On the first variety tour, it seems that the band didn't encounter too many setbacks in the process of integration, but Huadong and other members have always reminded themselves not to be boiled frog in warm water. "I want to keep the temperature of water as low as possible and try to stick to my bottom line, which is a bottom line of music." East China said.

Only once, the idea of "if you choose us, you will definitely abstain" came into being. In the first round of call out, Zhang Yadong asked the selected band to improvise PK with the theme of the fifth degree. "I remember Liu Min said that if we were chosen, it would be over, because we didn't want to improvise." Huadong said, "I don't want many people to think that improvisation is the standard to test whether a band is good or not."

Before taking part in "Summer of the Band", Huadong claimed that he had never taken the initiative to watch a variety show, mainly because he was not very interested. He even seldom watches TV, and the last time he turned it on was six months ago. Last season's Summer of the Band, he also admitted that he only watched part of it.

The program group invited remoulding to participate, showing enough sincerity. The band decided to have an experience after thinking, of course, considering that their music should be heard by more people and let the public know the existence of such a band with unique temperament.

After work, the band members are quiet and seldom interact with the outside world. In the program, the band is more willing to explain their musical ideas than dramatic personal experiences. During the recording process, this occasionally "unsociable" place still exists.

On the first day, I interviewed the band. After watching the rehearsal, PD, photography and the band had a meal together. PD said, I hope everyone can be especially honest and be like friends. "I can't promise you now. We have only known each other for less than 4 hours, so we can't be friends now, but I hope we can get to know each other better in the future, so I will be honest with you slowly. Before the adaptation, the program group wanted to go to Huadong's home to shoot some materials and see how the band adapted Love Life, but Huadong refused. He said that the band can be photographed by mobile phone and sent to the program group, but he didn't want to expose too much personal life. He added, "Of course, it is really troublesome for them to enter the community under the epidemic."

This slow-moving personality has led to many materials needed by the program group not being recorded as scheduled. On the other hand, the band also suffered some losses, and its presentation in the program was not so "three-dimensional".

In the program, Remodeling and East China show an aloof image. In the interview, Huadong bluntly said that adding remolding can improve the level of the whole program, stating that "I hope that remolded music can choose the audience, not let the audience choose us." In the tidbits, he read a big book backstage, so rigorous that he needed to punch in when rehearsing. "In fact, we have never played cards, and the state of rehearsal is actually very loose. For example, if you have an appointment to rehearse at 2: 30, maybe people will arrive at 3 o'clock, and please have a meal at night at most. " East China said.

To a certain extent, this has labeled the image of the band, which has led to a rebound in public opinion and an "artificial" attack on the band. This aversion extends to the music creation of the band, even the lifestyle of the band, and the private information of the members is also stripped out.

"In fact, we are relatively honest, and we clearly know that there is no problem with what we are doing." Huadong said, "But in fact, many analyses on the issue of remolding, I think, are not to the point. If there is a clear problem of transformation, I will definitely admit it. "

Huadong, the lead singer in the audience, has a very light voice, but he speaks quickly, is logical and informative, and occasionally has a sense of humor, so he looks like a gentleman when he treats people. "Being serious doesn't mean being rude, let alone being rude." East China explained this. He said that his personality hasn't changed much over the years, but he will put away his sharpness and won't be as straightforward as he was when he was young. More often, he would rather talk with music.

With the broadcast of the program, the controversy about remodeling was gradually replaced by the appreciation of the band's stage charm. We further found that the band is not always so rigorous and rigid backstage, but it is still cute, and even Huadong himself has frequently become an expression pack. Reforming the places they hated before has gradually become a feature of their character.

Besides variety shows, Modern Sky is the most trustworthy reconstruction partner. Both sides have the same aesthetic, can support and tolerate each other, and established a solid partnership during the period of 15 years. After 8 years of remodeling, no new records have been released, and the company has not given any pressure. When recording "Before Application", the budget was not enough at one time, and the company happily added the budget.

Huadong, who was studying in Germany at that time, dropped out of school and returned to China to be a band, because "music is more fun, because there will be more unknown things". The band's debut went smoothly than he expected. On June 5438+ 10, 2005, the Swedish band "International Noise Conspiracy" came to China and performed at Yishan Bar in old Gong Yu. Reshaped into one of the eight warm-up bands to take the lead. After the performance, Shen Lihui found Huadong and happily signed a contract with the band.

Huadong once recalled that at the beginning of the rehearsal, everyone had no equipment, no stereo, only a set of drums, guitar and bass connected in a speaker, and they could only scream at the top of their lungs, so they waited for half a year. Starting from the second record, Modern Sky will give the band an advance payment, which makes the band bid farewell to the "death" era of underground bands economically.

"We have experienced the truly pure underground state. There are two people in a performance, but I believe that at least none of these bands will say from the heart: I am proud, I am proud." Huadong said, "I believe that every band that has experienced underground culture is mostly out of helplessness."

In East China's view, he simply can't agree with the debate about "above ground" and "underground" in the program. In his view, the overall environment of the new generation of bands has changed, and many bands will no longer experience the so-called "underground" life, but the different external conditions will not affect everyone's love for music.

In the program tidbits, Huadong will "peek" at the idiot outside the rehearsal room. "In fact, I am watching it aboveboard." Huadong said with a smile that the transformation was once on the same stage with a fool twice, which was very impressive. On the same day, two bands were rehearsing in the rehearsal room, and he was also curious about what equipment and effects the idiot used.

"I can see more possibilities in them, which is more important than whether their works can stand in the present." Huadong said that many young bands in this season's program have a refreshing feeling.

Over the years, remodeling has been trying to find a refreshing feeling in music. Gold, the current drummer, joined the transformation on 20 15. His rapid integration into the band has brought new inspiration to the band. In a year and a half, this band, which has always been slow in production, released five new songs, and in 20 17, it released the transformation work "Before Application". The band abandoned the post-punk elements and added more synthesizers, rich sound effects and loops.

"When writing new songs, we often say that this method has been used." This also makes the band's output slow, because I always feel dissatisfied. As a band with rich overseas performance experience, Remodeling is clearly aware of the gap between domestic independent music and overseas music. He "stood on the shoulders of giants" looking for new possibilities, "trying to keep fresh within our hearing range."

The most exaggerated situation is that a song has been rehearsed for nearly a year and always gets stuck at the beginning. As an old band founded in 2003, the output is really limited under the day-to-day rehearsal, but 80% of the band's songs were born under such strict tempering.

Interestingly, such a rigorous band seems to lack a sense of variety, but in the end, it has reached a road of integration into variety in their way. Variety has become a business card for the public to understand remodeling.
