How to shoot beautiful women in backlight?
Selection of camera lens in backlight environment
When I first came into contact with portrait photography, I used an 8-megapixel Canon EOS 30D SLR camera with an EF 35 MF1.4L fixed-focus lens. As for why the 35mm fixed-focus lens is specially selected, it is mainly because EOS 30D is an APS-C film format DSLR, and the lens viewing angle must be multiplied by 135 times. Therefore, after conversion, 35mm is exactly the perspective I used to play with a standard lens of a 50mm negative camera, and the composition of this standard lens is equivalent to human vision. Shooting the composition in the backlight environment can not only shoot the light and shadow of the scene, but also won't feel oppressive.
The above picture puts the background natural light source into the mirror, and the following picture slightly raises the camera angle and lowers the lens, ignoring the background light source, but it still shows the special texture of backlight.
Metering and camera settings
In addition to outdoor lighting and flashing lights, natural light sources can also be used as side lights as long as the shooting angle is changed.
The brightness of the background is often several times that of the subject. Because the model is in the backlight state, the average metering of the camera will take the background brightness into account, which will lead to the subject being too dark or underexposed. In fact, this is also the most common problem that most people encounter when shooting in backlight. In order to overcome this, we must change the preset metering mode and choose the metering mode mainly in the central area of the picture to reduce the influence of strong background light.
Backlight technology and shooting opportunity
In addition to the fine weather, it is necessary to find out the good light quality when shooting the backlight, which has a considerable relationship with the season, place and time. Before that, we must first understand the effect of shooting the backlight. The first is to use the backlight to shoot a light spot, and this effect, the position of the sun is more favorable at about 45 degrees, because at this time, the light quality is hard and the light quantity is strong, which is easy to produce light spots. Secondly, in fact, the effect of shooting facula has nothing to do with shooting skills, but has a lot to do with photographic equipment. Some lenses have a strong effect of suppressing light and can't shoot anything, which is more likely to happen on fixed-focus lenses. Each lens will also feel different because of the different coatings and materials of the lens.
The top is shot in the backlight, and the figure in the backlight is clear, just like the model is shining.
Some indoor scenes, such as restaurants, restaurants or motels, usually have large windows or floor-to-ceiling windows. At this time, these bright windows can be used to introduce natural light and create an indoor backlight environment.
Ten secrets of backlit portraits
Backlit portraits are in poor indoor light. In this extreme environment, negative cameras can play a better role than digital cameras, so players may wish to use negative films to shoot backlit portraits when they have the opportunity.
1. The best backlight shooting time is around AM 5-6 in summer; Winter is about 7-8 am.
2. The best backlight shooting time in the afternoon: around PM 5-6 in summer; It's probably PM 4-5 in winter.
3. Shoot linear light, and the light source should be directly behind the model; In order to grasp the texture, the light source should be on the side of the model.
4. The camera is set with three elements: large aperture, M mode and spot metering.
5. The film has good texture and many details; Film tolerance is small and needs post-processing.
6. shoot with a digital camera, first reduce the EV value, and then look at the computer screen for post-adjustment.
7. Choose a good location before shooting, and then go to the destination to find a suitable scenic spot.
8. Observe the weather closely. If time permits, you can go to the scene to see the light and environment the day before shooting.
9. Try to find a familiar model to shoot, and the expression will be more natural.
10. When shooting, try to grab the composition from different angles with a relaxed and happy mood.
