Scenic spot related information

Zhujiajiao, located in Qingpu District, Shanghai, is a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River. In 2000, the original Shenxiang Town was merged into Zhujiajiao. Zhujiajiao covers an area of 138 km2 (including waters) and has a population of about 66,000 (2003). Known as "the largest town in Shanghai".

There are several old streets in Zhujiajiao, such as North Street, Tokyo Street, Xijing Street, Daxin Street, Dongshi Street, Shengli Street, Caohe Street, Donghu Street and Xihu Street. Among them, North Street was selected as one of the top ten leisure streets in Shanghai in June 2005.

"Small bridges and flowing water are natural scenery, authentic Ming and Qing Street". According to records, Zhujiajiao had formed a market in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and the town was being built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Zhujiajiao, also known as Zhu Jieting, also known as Zhu Xi. The town covers an area of 47 square kilometers, with vertical and horizontal river ports, nine long streets extending along the river, thousands of Ming and Qing buildings standing by the water, and 36 stone bridges with ancient customs still exist. There are the first stone arch bridge in Shanghai, the North Street of "Sanli Long Street, Thousand Stores and Thousands of Shops", the Xi Hall, the Wang Ge Memorial Hall of the Seventh Son of Wuzhong in Qing Dynasty, the first teahouse in Jiangnan, and the water "cruise teahouse" with strong flavor in Jiangnan water town. ...

In Jiangnan water town, there is a saying: "South Zhouzhuang, North Zhouzhuang, not as good as Zhujiajian Island." So people who have been to Zhouzhuang and Tongli suggest that you take a rest and take a tourist bus from Shanghai to Zhujiajiao, which is known as "Venice of Shanghai".

With the reputation of "Venice, Shanghai", the small bridges and flowing water are naturally charming, but all this is not the whole of Zhujiajiao. Behind the newly painted doors and windows are still the ancient houses and people who have lived here for thousands of years. Their days still exude a faint Jiangnan ancient rhyme.

This ancient town consists of two streams and a big river between them. People in the pillow river have windowsill corners, and the corn poppy opens; On the stone road, worried mothers-in-law bow their backs and communicate their parents' shortcomings; Behind the half-closed wooden door, the clever wife is busy around the stove. Although those people's home cooking is simple, it is fragrant and reminds people of their greedy childhood. In the narrow alley, all the specialties are sold, such as chestnut jiaozi, roasted water chestnut leaves, fried rice cakes with shepherd's purse ... The most unique thing is the fresh lake in front of the Chenghuang Temple. The boat is leaning against the revetment, full of fish and shrimp that have just been salvaged, and there is a prosperous stove. Tourists look down from the high revetment, specify the varieties, negotiate the price, the boatman quickly weighs it, and the boatwoman quickly gives it three times and two times, and the delicious lake water can be tasted.

The core of Zhujiajiao ancient town scenic spot is Fangsheng Bridge, a stone arch bridge built in the middle of Qing Dynasty, which is a landmark building of Zhujiajiao with magnificent momentum and symmetrical structure. Standing on the "Bridge of Life", you can have a panoramic view of the ancient town. Zhujiajiao also reveals a bit of heroism in the slender because of the "bridge of life".

If the weather is fine, every family is busy taking advantage of the good weather to take out clothes, shoes and socks, and even children's toys to dry. And the woman washing clothes by the river. The residents of Zhujiajiao, instead of warmly embracing tourists and asking curious questions, just live in their own world as always, occasionally showing a little boredom, but it has not hindered the indifference of people thousands of miles away.

Shiban Old Street, Dahe Dwellings and Deep Alleys all show the typical style of Zhujiajiao Jiangnan Dwellings. The nine old streets in the town, relying on the tributaries of Cao Gang, are like an open folding fan. Dense residential mansion, built near the water, with compact and elegant layout and overlapping gray tiles and white walls. The zigzag and row-by-row shops in the former residence outline the unique architectural layout of Zhujiajiao with numerous corners, bends, lanes and alleys. Qianjie and Houhe, facing each other across the bank, are parallel "sister old streets". Sometimes there is a "corridor shed" in the old street. The ancient style still exists, sheltering pedestrians from the wind and rain. It looks antique, handsome and elegant.

Strolling through the streets and lanes, most of the houses here are two floors of brick and wood, with small bridges near the water and upturned roofs. Some houses are built with stones, and some are supported by wooden stakes at the fragile bottom of the river, hanging on the sparkling river, just like the "diaojiao building" in the south, which is really interesting.

Zhujiajiao has been in Tsinghua, Shui Mu, with beautiful scenery. Groups of approvers, scholars and official families moved into the ancient town one after another to build houses and gardens, so there are hundreds of buildings in the town since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Xi hall. Liu Yazi Villa, Chen's former residence, Kezhi Garden and large and small rich people's huge houses, high wind and fire walls, deep Shikumen, black tile white walls, beautiful carved buildings and painted beams are unique compared with Shenting and Zhouzhuang Town.

The most typical old house in Ming Dynasty is Xi Hall in Donghu Street. The head hall is tall and spacious, with huge piers and extraordinary bearing. There is the word "musical instrument" above the special door, and various animals and beasts are carved on both sides. Exquisite knife work, lifelike modeling, lifelike, is the most complete brick carving in the town.
