Want to learn photography, no foundation. How should I start?

For professional reasons, I began to study photography systematically during my college years. Let's share my personal experience:

First, master the basic operation of the camera. For novices, first of all, don't rush to buy tall equipment, so as not to get a fever for a while and finally get idle. A good photo depends not only on equipment, but also on technology and artistic aesthetics. First understand the basic operating points of the camera:

1. Flash mode: It is very important for taking portraits at night and in backlight. No flashing when necessary.

2. White balance mode: correct color deviation and obtain special color effect.

3. Three elements of exposure: aperture, shutter and sensitivity.

These are the three most important elements for newcomers. Different combinations of these three elements are used to control the normal exposure.

hole

Control the amount of light entering. The larger the aperture, the more light enters and the brighter the photos are taken. The aperture is usually indicated by the letter "f". The larger the f value, the smaller the aperture, such as F2.8 & gtF5.

shutter

Control the speed of camera light input. If the aperture and sensitivity are the same, the longer the shutter speed, the more light will enter and the brighter the photo will be. It should be noted that the slower the shutter speed of the photo, the more unstable the hand-held camera is, and it is easy to shake, resulting in blurred photos. It is best to use a tripod to assist shooting, which is relatively stable.

Sensitivity (ISO)

It controls the brightness of photos, which is different from the principle of aperture and shutter. Both the shutter and aperture control the amount of light entering, and the sensitivity improves the sensitivity of the camera's photosensitive element. The lower the sensitivity, the darker the photo; The higher the sensitivity, the brighter the photo. However, with the increase of sensitivity, the more noise there will be in the photo, and the image quality will decline.

If you take pictures on sunny days, the sensitivity of 100-200 is enough. In dark conditions, the sensitivity can be improved to get the correct exposure, but some image quality will be lost.

4. Exposure compensation

Controls the brightness of photos. When taking pictures, you often encounter overexposure or underexposure, so you can use exposure compensation to correct and adjust. If the exposure compensation is negative, the photo will be dark, and if it is positive, the photo will be bright.

Second, master the basic shooting skills 1, common shooting modes

There are many different modes of camera operation, and there are four common modes. Choosing a reasonable mode can easily meet the needs of most shooting scenes.

The picture comes from the internet.

P file: the program is automatic, which is the most "stupid" mode. When taking pictures, the camera will automatically adjust the shutter and aperture according to the environment at that time, and take pictures in normal exposure, and can adjust the sensitivity and metering by itself. This mode is simple and easy to operate, but the photos taken are very limited.

File A: Aperture takes precedence. In this mode, by adjusting the size of the aperture, the shutter time of the camera is automatically adjusted according to the scene environment when shooting, so as to ensure that the photos with normal exposure are taken. For example, when shooting in low light, using a low shutter will cause the picture to blur due to jitter. At this time, keeping the aperture constant and adjusting the sensitivity will increase the shutter speed.

T/S file: shutter priority. In this mode, by adjusting the shutter speed, the aperture of the camera will be automatically adjusted according to the scene environment when shooting, and finally a normal exposure photo will be taken. This mode is suitable for shooting moving objects, especially fast moving objects. If the shutter speed is too slow, the image will be blurred easily. Setting the high-speed shutter directly can make the image clearer. Or shoot the traffic at night, and set a slower shutter speed to shoot the motion trajectory.

M range: manual mode, that is, you need to manually adjust the aperture, shutter and sensitivity according to the desired effect. Generally speaking, it is difficult for beginners to operate. Through constant practice, practice makes perfect over time.

2. Common composition methods

nine-square?grid

Also known as three-point line composition method, it is suitable for most shooting and can be said to be a general composition method. It refers to dividing the picture into nine pieces with two horizontal and vertical lines. The most important thing is to use the intersection of three-point lines when shooting, and it is in line with the principle of visual balance to put the subject on the intersection.

news

A minimalist composition method is to separate the picture from the background, leaving a large area of blank space to highlight the subject, and the picture is clean and comfortable.

symmetrical

Symmetry often means rigidity and majesty, but in architectural design, symmetry has a good aesthetic feeling, which can fully reflect the symmetrical aesthetic feeling of architecture when shooting architecture.

Point composition

Through the arrangement and combination of points, the size gradually changes from near to far, which is full of aesthetic feeling and rhythm.

Line composition

When taking landscape photos, such as roads, rivers, winding mountains, etc. Looking for various lines in the picture for composition can highlight the depth of the photo and enhance the dynamic of the photo.

If we just regard photography as a hobby, it is enough for us to have a good time and have fun. Don't find it difficult, just enjoy it.
