Four days ago, on the day of 365438+1October 3 1, there were two casualties of children riding the escalator.

Among them, a 3-year-old boy from Shanghai Yangpu Shopping Center was involved in the escalator with his right foot and his sole was broken.

A 7-year-old boy in Changsha, Hunan Province, was playing alone on the escalator. Because his cotton-padded jacket was too long, he was accidentally caught by the comb teeth of the escalator, causing the button of the cotton-padded jacket to buckle tighter and tighter, and finally he died of suffocation.

We often hear some horror stories about elevator safety. In fact, the vertical elevator that everyone is worried about is very safe.

And those seemingly smooth escalators hide various security risks, which is what many parents easily ignore. Last year, I wrote a special article about escalator safety, "Many cases are shocking! It's careless to take the escalator! 》。

The most dangerous place on the escalator is the seam of the tail comb plate. Foam shoes, messy shoelaces, long streamers of clothes, or Hanfu that sweeps the floor with fairy tales, etc. , may all be involved in the comb plate, causing serious casualties.

A casual look on the Internet shows that there are many injuries that children are involved in on escalators every year:

20 15-4- 13 a girl in Vientiane mall, Nayong county, Guizhou province was caught by the escalator and her expression was painful.

20 15-7-27 A boy over 0/kloc-0 years old was caught by a comb and could not move.

20 16-8-5 children's arms were caught by escalators in a shopping mall in Beijing.

20 17-8-23 A 3-year-old boy in Longgang, Shenzhen was caught in the escalator.

20 18-7-3 1 On the escalator of Shang Yi Shopping Mall in Jiangyan, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, a 3-year-old girl's right foot was pinched off.

20 19- 1- 10 A girl of one year and seven months old was injured by an escalator in Luoyang, Henan Province.

2019-4/26 A boy was caught by an escalator in wanda plaza, Neijiang, Sichuan, and the fire department was rescuing him.

20 19-7-5 A boy was caught by an escalator in a shopping mall in Yiyang, Hunan.

These cases are all rigged, and at most they cause disability. If clothes are involved and not rescued in time, there is a danger of suffocation and death.

In addition to the death of a 7-year-old boy in Changsha four days ago, a similar tragedy happened in Suzhou a few years ago:

2014 February 18, a 3-year-old boy was playing on the escalator, and his clothes were stuck at the bottom of the elevator and he died of suffocation. After the child's father arrived, he borrowed scissors from the surrounding shops and cut off all the children's clothes, but the child still failed to come back and was sent to the hospital for rescue and died.

Broken clothes on the escalator

There have also been cases abroad in which children were caught in escalators and suffocated. The following short video is a warning education film adapted from a real case. The original film is very long. I edited it, less than 3 minutes. Worth seeing:

From the film, we can see that most people will panic when an accident happens. That young man should have pressed the stop button for emergency stop at the first time. But he was in a hurry to pull down the child, but it was useless!

Fortunately, there was an old lady next to her who reached out and pressed the stop button in time, so it didn't get tighter and tighter:

Then the young man used a knife to cut clothes, which was obviously not as fast and effective as 9 1 1 staff used scissors later:

As the rescue was timely and correct, the foreign boy was finally rescued.

For this kind of "tied suffocation" caused by clothes being repeatedly involved, don't pick it up and send it to the hospital immediately after cutting clothes, and don't wait for 120 ambulance! But immediately check on the spot whether you have stopped breathing? If breathing has stopped, CPR should be performed on the spot!

Because once breathing stops for 3-5 minutes, brain cells begin to die gradually. For this kind of respiratory cardiac arrest caused by asphyxia, chest compression is as important as artificial respiration, and the effect of chest compression alone is very poor.

Of course, if you can get the AED on site, you should also get it as a backup. Don't say you can't use it, no one will attend the meeting. No? Can't you learn?

Accidents can happen anytime and anywhere,

For myself, for my family, for the people around me.

Come and learn a formal first aid seriously!
