Photography uses color techniques.

Our life, eating, sleeping, working and leisure are all inseparable from color. Our world is deeply influenced by color. We can perceive color and experience life in color. The following is my sharing of using color skills in photography. Let's have a look.

1. Use color to reflect emotion

We are sentient creatures and can feel colors. Angry black, newborn green, cold blue, and our golden memories. Colors can evoke our memories, such as orange sunsets and cold blue mornings. Green symbolizes growth, and red is full of vitality. Try to express your feelings with the colors in the photos.

Shooting color

Choose a color as the theme. Separate brightly colored doors or windows from the environment. Choosing this kind of design or simple but colorful object with a neutral background can create a dramatic effect.

Create harmony

Select the colors close to each other on the color circle and bring them into the picture together. Nature is full of this harmony, for example, green and yellow can create a commendable picture. Autumn is a good time to shoot such subjects. There are yellow, brown and orange everywhere, which are the theme colors of autumn.

Shoot the "soft color" effect

This effect is very suitable for shooting scenes in Gao Fancha. Soft color refers to unsaturated color, which can be achieved by adding gray tones to the main color. Shoot with soft light. Cloudy days are the best time to shoot this effect.

Shoot contrast color

The colors on the color circle that are opposite to each other 180 degrees are called contrast colors. They can create great photos together. Shooting bright red flowers against the green leaves is an example. Doing so can enhance the color effect and saturation and make the subject stand out from the background.

You can create an unusual photo by choosing a scene with a single color and then finding a theme with a contrasting color. This effect looks like all the colors in the picture have been removed, and only the main body is colored. For example, a bright umbrella or a flower, a simple background is a good example.

7. Emphasize the pattern with color

This is a good photo form to take a colorful and recurring pattern. Soldiers in red uniforms, holding dynamic objects and standing upright are a good work. You can get a clean and pure picture by cropping the photos.

Using color can always add dynamic elements to photos, so it is more worth using. We live in a colorful world, so we should make full use of them.

8. Photography skills of black and white photos

Black-and-white photography can be a difficult task, because the subject in the photo becomes very important. Through practice, you can understand the light, the subject and how to organize the picture. It's like a brainstorm, because you have to imagine the final state of the subject in black and white before shooting. You need to make sure there is enough light to capture the details. Remember that we can't show details by color difference, we can only use up. In black and white photos, the beautiful blue sky will also be gray.
