Is it better to use close-up ring or reverse lens for macro shooting with 50 fixed focus lens?

Close-up stitching can only improve the fixed magnification, but if a group of stitching is used, it can be combined freely. This method has no other disadvantages except that it can't focus automatically (nor can it be reversed), and the working distance is far away, which is beneficial to light distribution. If you use N series bayonet (I am familiar with F port, but not so familiar with e F), then G head and auto head are not compatible with pk series close-range ring, and so are some ai heads. It is generally recommended to use the close-up ring of ais and afd heads.

The cost of the inverted lens is lower than that of the close-range lens ring, and the magnification can be adjusted more widely, even reaching 4: 1 or even 6: 1 (the close-range lens ring can only reach 2: 1, which is still a standard macro). However, the close-range connecting ring has many defects. First, it is inconvenient to wear the filter (it hurts after wearing it), and second, the rear lens group is easy to accumulate dust. The whole reverse connection structure is larger than that with proximity ring, and the working distance is shorter (which is not conducive to light distribution).

Finally, it is suggested that if the header is added with a close-up ring or anti-track, the total price of the header is similar to that of the standard macro. If you don't play with the heads of other focal segments, you might as well buy a standard macro directly. After all, the focal plane correction of macro pan-tilt is better than all other pan-tilt, so the quality of imaging edge is much better.

Finally, the close-up is really not strong, and it is not recommended by non-small dc users.
