What color cloth is best to use as the base cloth for root carving photography?

There are three common backgrounds, white, black, and black and white gradient background.

The gradient background is more realistic and natural, with a sense of space.

Black background and white background are easier to highlight the root carving, especially the white background. If you need to remove the background in post-production, it is very convenient. You can also remove the background in PS and then apply the gradient background effect.

If the picture requires digital post-processing, a white background is recommended. If it is used directly, a gradient background is recommended
