Anhui Xinhua College is located in Hefei, the hometown of Bao Gong and the capital of the historic city of Anhui. Located at the south foot of Dashushan Forest Park in Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It is the first provincial ordinary undergraduate college in Anhui Province with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the right to award bachelor's degrees.

The predecessor of the school is Anhui Xinhua Vocational College, which was founded by Anhui Xinhua Group Investment Co., Ltd. in 2000. In May 2005, the school was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed as Anhui Xinhua College.
