Version 1

The Zhou brothers are giants in the Asian computer industry and have the richest computer kingdom in Asia. But all of a sudden, the computer system inside the company was completely paralyzed because of the virus infection, so they asked for help everywhere. At the same time, a mysterious master who called himself an "angel" suddenly appeared, helping them successfully solve the invading virus. The two brothers admired the talent of the "angel" and were very curious about the angel himself, and asked to meet him. When the "angel" arrived at the appointment, to the surprise of the Zhou brothers, the "angel" was actually a pair of sisters with angel faces. The two sisters, Lin (Shu Qi) and Qun (Zhao Wei), not only planned all the plans to invade Zhou's company, but also had a bigger plot, that is, to eventually kill the president of Zhou's company. Policewoman Hong (Karen Mok) participated in the investigation of the whole CEO's murder case, but Hong herself had ulterior motives, so she joined forces with the "angel" sisters and started a new conspiracy ...

Version 2

The Zhou brothers are giants in the Asian computer industry and have the richest computer kingdom in Asia. One day, their company's computer system was invaded by foreign computer viruses, and the computer system in the company was seriously damaged. At the same time, another mysterious helper suddenly appeared, and a self-proclaimed "angel" network expert also entered their computer system at the same time and successfully washed away the invading virus.

After escaping this disaster, the Zhou brothers were amazed at the talent of the "angel" and asked to meet. Just as the merger of the Zhou brothers and another company was undecided, the "angel" was invited. The Zhou brothers didn't expect the "angel" to be a pair of sisters with angel faces, as the name implies. The two sisters, named Lin Hequn, planned the invasion and removal of the virus by themselves, in order to take the opportunity to break through the heavy security of the company so as to kill the rich president of Zhou's company.

The killing of monopoly attracted the intervention of the police. Hong, a witty and beautiful policewoman, was ordered to investigate the case. With the deepening of the investigation, she gradually found that the sisters were the most suspected. But the relationship between the policewoman and the murderer is far from being as simple as hostility. In order to clear herself of criminal suspicion, Hong has to use the killer sisters to jointly deal with another computer wizard. This indistinguishable relationship between friends and enemies makes the ending of this police story even more unpredictable.

[ Edit this paragraph] Behind the scenes

Yuan Kui, one of the "seven little blessings" in Hong Kong's early years, like his other disciples, made a reputation in the Hong Kong film industry and even the world film industry through kung fu. But now, with their growing popularity, mindless and simple kung fu can no longer satisfy their ideas. After many years of martial arts instruction, Yuan Kui has become more dedicated to directing. This movie "Sunset Angel" looks like a big-scale production, bringing together popular stars from across the Taiwan Strait and three places, as well as stars from South Korea and Japan. The whole movie looks powerful and lively, and it can be seen that it is not just a Hong Kong film in a general sense, but a film with an Asian concept. The investor of this film is American Columbia Company. Perhaps for this reason, the film seems to be a Hong Kong-made film that is more in line with the taste of westerners. The whole film looks beautifully packaged, the plot is carefully handled, and the lens is quite beautiful, which makes a rare romance in action movies. Although literary drama is relatively weak, it is a feast for the eyes for action movie lovers.

China version of Charlie's Angels

Some people regard this film as China's version of Charlie's Angels. If there are any similarities between the two, it must be because they are all starring three women who can fight, but in fact there are not many similarities between the two. Although there are three Charlie's angels, the three heroines in Sunset Angel are not all detectives, and the relationship is very subtle. They have enemies and friends, love and hate, which is obviously more tortuous than the stories of several charming children in the American interpretation of "Detective Qiaojiao".

In fact, with the fame of Shu Qi, Zhao Wei and Karen Mok, each starring in a movie will have great box office appeal. Now, three people co-star in a movie, which should be regarded as a luxury lineup in recent films featuring women. Three female stars who don't have any martial arts skills at all, but this time they are going to perform extraordinary kung fu masters. People can't help but want to see how they performed under Yuan Kui's training as soon as possible. Of course, with Yuan Kui's ability to grasp and dispatch action scenes, the audience has every reason to believe that China's detective Qiao Jiaowa is definitely more powerful than the United States!

It's another Asian concept

Under the condition that Hong Kong films are in the doldrums, the concept of Hong Kong films is becoming more and more Asian, and this trend has become obvious since last year. Yuan Kui, who has been in Hollywood for a long time, clearly understands the advantages of internationalization and asianization. Sunset Angel is a collection of Korean and Japanese stars who are very popular recently. Song Seung Heon, a Korean, and Yasuaki Kurata, a Japanese, can be seen as a bold move by Yuan Kui to enter the Japanese and Korean markets. Although Yuan Kui's action movies have a group of fans in Japan and South Korea as early as in the past, it is obviously more powerful to tap the door of the two markets by using the stars familiar to the audience in the two places.

Yuan Kui is definitely a smart man, and his casting strategy is obviously premeditated for a long time. Apart from the stars from Japan and South Korea, choosing Zhao Wei from the mainland and Shu Qi and Karen Mok from Hong Kong is also a manifestation of his ambition for the Asian market. And even invite old stars like Deric Wan and Shi Xiu to come out of the mountain, and invite newcomers like Wei Zhihao to help out. Obviously, in addition to taking care of the coverage of the region, it also takes into account the coverage of the age group. If this film can make a big box office, the casting skills of Yuan Kui can be studied almost as a theory, and such an Asian concept is really bold enough.
