Yuan Ying Pavilion Dashuifa Haiyan Hall ... Old photos reminisce about the past glory of Yuanmingyuan.

Yuanmingyuan, also known as Yuanming Sanyuan, is a large-scale royal garden in the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the northwest suburb of Beijing, adjacent to the Summer Palace, and consists of Yuanmingyuan Garden, Changchun Garden and Qichun Garden, so it is also called Yuanming Sanyuan. 1860101On October 6th, the British and French allied forces looted Yuanmingyuan, looted cultural relics and burned it. When Emperor Tongzhi tried to repair them, he was forced to stop and rebuild other buildings because of financial difficulties. After Eight-Nation Alliance, it was attacked by bandits and eventually turned into ruins. The picture shows the Haitan Tangxi Fountain photographed by Xi Long Ren at 1922.

Xi Long Ren photographed the west of Haiyan Hall at 1922. As can be seen from the photos, at this time, the overall structure of the building to the west of Haiyan Hall has been basically destroyed.

German Hantz von Peckhammer photographed the remains of the eastern part of Haiyan Hall in the 1920s. The house in the photo is Lu's home, living in the old site of the West Tower. This family lived on the site of Yuanmingyuan all the year round and knew many stories about the West Building and Yuanmingyuan. Almost every westerner who visits the West Tower and takes photos is willing to ask Lu to be a guide, which is also one of his important sources of income.

In the early 1930s, the remaining Tang Haiyan Water Storage Building, at this time, Beiping * * * once managed Yuanmingyuan and sent people to look after it. The house in the photo is the duty room of the administrator.

In the late 1930s, a large-scale water storage building in Haiyan Hall broke out because of the Lugouqiao Incident, and Japan invaded China in an all-round way. Beiping * * * has no intention of managing Yuanmingyuan any more, so it cancelled the management organization of Yuanmingyuan. The small room where the caretaker lived in the lower right corner of the photo has been demolished and is uninhabited.

To the north of Haiyan Tang water storage building is the site of the western line wall, which has been demolished and turned into a trench.

Ernst Olmer filmed the Dashui method in 1873. At this time, the main structure of Dashui Law was hardly destroyed, and the beautifully carved stone carvings were basically well preserved.
