Is the Great Northern Cup UAV Skills Competition a national level?

In short, the opening ceremony of the "Dabei Cup" Third National Undergraduate UAV Surveying and Mapping Skills Competition was held in the academic conference center of our college. 78 teams from 23 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and China People's Liberation Army attended the opening ceremony. From April 7th to 10, the 4th National Undergraduate UAV Surveying and Mapping Skills Competition was held in Guangdong Industry and Trade Vocational and Technical College. 156 contestants from 78 universities across the country participated in the competition, and Guo Chuangchuang and Hu Jichuan, students majoring in surveying and mapping engineering in 2020, won the first prize.

The contest was hosted by the National Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and the Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and undertaken by Shandong Water Conservancy Vocational College and Shandong Water Conservancy Surveying and Mapping Professional Construction Steering Committee. The competition lasted for three days and was conducted by combining indoor and outdoor work, including two parts: "UAV low-altitude image data acquisition (outdoor work)" and "low-altitude photogrammetry image processing (indoor work)", focusing on assessing the application ability of contestants in UAV surveying and mapping practice.

Sponsored by the Human Resources Development Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Steering Committee of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Vocational Education, this competition is divided into two parts: "UAV low-altitude image data collection (field work)" and "low-altitude photogrammetry image processing (indoor work)", which mainly examines students' application ability in the actual operation of UAV surveying and mapping, aiming at promoting learning, teaching and construction through competition, promoting new technologies of UAV surveying and mapping into the classroom, and promoting the cultivation of high-skilled talents of UAV surveying and mapping.
