How to improve mobile phone photography technology
How to improve the technology of mobile phone photography at first, let's introduce the three most important rules of mobile phone photography.
1, the mobile phone is a fixed-focus lens.
Never use the zoom function on your mobile phone. This is a fixed focus lens. The principle of fixed-focus lens photography is also applicable to mobile phone (such as iPhone) photography.
2, from idea to practice can be controlled in 10 seconds.
Good moments may be fleeting. There may be room to make up for good balls and bad balls. There is a world of difference between shooting and not shooting.
Step 3 be creative
If measured by traditional photography standards, mobile photography can only follow the trend of SLR. But taking photos on mobile phones is not only a beautiful photo, but also a process of improvisation, experiment and sharing on social media. This also means that you need to try bolder composition and more opportunities. In the case of limited picture quality and shooting scene itself, the creativity of mobile phone photography is even more important.
Here are a few practical tips about taking pictures (more for iPhone). This in itself is not complicated. It has only three parts: composition, focusing and exposure.
First, composition
There is not much difference between mobile phone and SLR composition, such as highlighting the theme. Several practical skills include: highlighting the geometry or symmetry element in the picture;
Highlight the geometry or symmetry element in the picture.
Leave a big blank
Pay attention to the cooperation between the front desk and the background.
Second, focus.
The focus of the mobile phone is very simple, that is, touch the screen with your fingers to focus.
In this photo, the focus is on the glass, so the people in the background are in Jiao Wai.
Although the mobile phone can't focus manually, there are still some ways to shoot out of focus. One is to quickly press the shutter when the mobile phone is in focus, and the other is to use AE/AF lock: aim near first, hold down the screen until the words AE/AF lock appear, and then aim far away. In this way, the whole picture is in Jiao Wai.
Third, exposure
Take the iphone as an example. Although the exposure of the iPhone is very automated, it does not mean that we have no room for further adjustment. One of the easiest ways is to adjust the exposure by focusing-if the whole photo is bright, focus on the bright part of the screen; If it is dark, focus on the dark place. IPhone will automatically adjust the exposure of photos according to where you focus. So until you find the right exposure value.
For example, in this photo, I focused on the sky in the upper left corner of the photo to prevent overexposure.
In this photo, I focus on the center of the light source. Because the focus is strong light, there is no noise problem that is common when mobile phones take pictures at night.
PS: It's best to take photos in a well-lit place. The noise of mobile phones is particularly obvious at night and when the indoor light is insufficient. I usually avoid taking pictures in this situation.
Four. Shadows and environment
One of the problems with mobile phone photography is that it is not tolerant enough, either the bright part is overexposed or the dark part is underexposed (especially iPhone 4). Solution: First, turn on HDR, and second, use it later. I usually keep bright details (such as the sky) when I expose, so many parts of the picture are inevitably too dark. In the future, some mobile phone apps will be used to restore the dark details, so that you can get a photo with a relatively large exposure range, which can make up for the congenital deficiency of mobile phone photography.
Five, the use of appropriate filters
There are too many interesting filters on iOS, such as POCO cameras. However, the most important principle about filters is not to overuse them. My personal opinion is: unless you want to test some special effects, at least don't hurt the color relationship of the original picture, and don't take the lead in covering up the theme that the picture itself wants to present.
6. Cool tricks that usually don't work.
I believe that if you are familiar with the above items, your mobile phone photography level has been greatly improved. Although this item is useless at ordinary times, it can sometimes produce very interesting effects (and SLR cameras are difficult to achieve! )。 You can move the phone and press the shutter at the same time, so that the picture will leave traces of movement. For example, this one is taken against the fallen leaves on the ground.
