Liang Zi joined the army in 1977 (at the age of 16) and was transferred to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in 1983 to work as a photography officer in the Qinghai Military Region. In 1985, he took part in the battle of Laoshan, followed the commandos for field tracking and shooting, and left a large number of battlefield photographs at that time; After changing jobs, he was transferred to the State Council Army and transferred to China Demobilized Officers magazine as a photojournalist. In 1998, the book An Open Diary, which recorded Liang Zi's 15-year military service history, was finally published. At the same time, the book was translated into Japanese, and the Japanese Guangwen Society held the premiere and Liang Zi's personal photography exhibition in Tokyo. In Liang Zi's Open Diary, she told us a story about blood shed's battlefield experience as a female war correspondent who personally participated in the battle.
