With the approval of the State Council in August 1952, Huaibin County was officially established. The territory is about 53Km long from east to west and 43Km wide from north to south, with a total area of ??1209Km2.

The Beijing-Kowloon Railway enters Huaibin from Funan County, Anhui Province, passing through 21 towns in 4 towns: Lanlan (9.74Km), Taitou (11.02Km), Zhangzhuang (3.9Km), and Dengwan (4Km) Administrative village, with a total length of 28.7 kilometers. So far, the third largest railway bridge on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, the Huaibin-Huaihe River Extra-large Railway Bridge has been fully erected, 33 days ahead of schedule.
