Wang Lisubin gave a basic introduction. "Ancient Chinese Literature" is one of the earliest master's programs established in our school. Since 1979, it has officially begun to recruit master's students nationwide. As of July 2006, 69 qualified master's students have been trained. So far, there are 55 graduate students*** in school. The Master's Program in Ancient Chinese Literature currently has 7 tutors, including 5 professors (including 1 distinguished professor) and 2 associate professors. The person in charge is Professor Zhou Xiaolin. This point has three research directions, namely: Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties literature, Tang, Song, Yuan and Ming literature, traditional culture and ancient literature.

After long-term construction, the master's degree program in ancient Chinese literature has accumulated rich experience in cultivating talents. The tutors are dedicated and pragmatic, rigorous in scholarship, decent in style, specialized in study, with distinctive academic research characteristics, and the research results are among the best in ancient times. Research fields such as poetry, ancient lyrics and music, and Bashu literature are at the leading level in the province or country. The graduate students trained have the characteristics of solid basic skills, broad knowledge, and the ability to both teach and do scientific research. Over the past twenty years, some of the master's students trained by this point have become well-known experts in the field of ancient literature research in China. For example, Professor Zhao Yishan, a Tianfu scholar, has made outstanding achievements in the field of Sanqu research; some have become doctoral supervisors in key universities. , such as Professor Zhu Shangshu from Sichuan University and Professor Liu Zhenlun from Huazhong University of Science and Technology; some have obtained doctorates and are working in the workplace; and nearly ten graduates are currently working at Nanjing University, Nankai University, Shandong University, and Sichuan University. It was the first master's degree program in the country to recruit students after the Cultural Revolution, and it was also the first master's degree program in our school to recruit students. There are currently three research directions: Tang and Song literary documents, Han, Wei, Southern and Northern Dynasties documents, and Bashu cultural documents, with 18 graduate students. This point relies on the Institute of Ancient Books Collection and Research Institute of West China Normal University and the Bashu Culture Institute, with strong teaching staff, rich achievements and distinctive characteristics. Many graduates from this program have become nationally renowned experts, scholars and academic leaders. The training goal is to cultivate high-level talents with comprehensive moral, intellectual and physical development for my country's socialist construction cause. The specific requirements are:

5. Good health. It has been recruiting students since 1999. All 30 graduates with master's degrees are employed in undergraduate colleges and universities, and 8 have been admitted to doctoral candidates upon graduation or after graduation. There are 42 master students on campus.

3. The thesis should be basically finalized in the fifth semester, during which the supervisor will regularly check the progress and quality; it will be submitted for review and defense in the sixth semester, and the master's degree will be awarded after review by the academic degree committee. The research topic for the degree thesis is mainly selected by the student. When necessary, the tutor will provide guidance and assist in topic selection. After the topic is selected, students must write a proposal report that meets the regulations. The topic can only be initiated after it is approved by the expert group.

After the first draft of the paper is completed, it must be sent to the tutor for review and revision in time. The tutor must provide specific written review opinions. After the paper is finalized, it must be carefully reviewed by the tutor before it can be submitted for review and defense.

A master's degree can only be awarded after passing the thesis defense. Those who fail will not be able to submit their degree to the school for discussion of specific solutions.
