1972 For the 20th Munich Olympic Games, the organizing committee provided a special press center for the first time. Since then, it has become a common practice to set up an international broadcasting center in Olympic venues. However, because the design of Beijing Olympic Stadium itself cannot bear too much weight, it is not suitable to build a studio at the top, and the whole Olympic Park lacks a commanding height overlooking the overall situation. Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of broadcasters from all over the world "hoping to capture the freshest and most unique pictures about the Olympic Games", the Olympic Organizing Committee decided to build a brand-new relay tower, which will be invited by the Beijing Municipal Planning Commission.

Linglong Tower, located in the north of the National Stadium "Bird's Nest", is a TV broadcast facility for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The main body is steel structure and decorated with glass curtain wall. The broadcasting tower is an equilateral triangle, which is divided into seven floors. The first floor is the lobby, with a building area of 1 0,000m2, the second to sixth floors are the studios, and the top tower is tentatively designated as the VIP sightseeing hall, with an overall total height of 1.32. As night falls, the "Linglong Tower" constantly changes its posture under the alternating reflection of colored lights, which is beautiful. The Olympic multi-function studio tower project is located in the central part of the Olympic Park, on the north side of the Bird's Nest and on the west side of the central axis landscape avenue.
