Looking for the most beautiful light

In 2021, I am still walking on the road, leaving my footsteps from Lingshui, Hainan, at an altitude of 0, to Lhasa, Tibet, at an altitude of 3,650 meters.

Photography is the art of light. I have been looking for the most beautiful light to freeze the beautiful scenery of the motherland.

On January 12, 2021, in Lingshui, Hainan, the sea and sky were the same color.

Meet You

On the way, there are some people who make me stop and take a closer look at their living conditions. They are craftsmen.

Most of the craftsmen at the bottom are working hard to support their families. They work hard and remain unknown, but their contributions are closely related to the lives of ordinary people.

No matter how ordinary a person is, he or she is worth listening to for five minutes.

In the past, I was not good at actively communicating with people. In 2021, I tried to communicate with the subjects. Although I was often rejected, someone still answered my questions.

Through listening, the images of these subjects become richer in my mind.

Li Shuqiu, maintenance worker, 50 years old, from Cili, Hunan.

He wants to work for another ten years and take his wife to travel.

Zeng Xianglin, tiger breeder, 50 years old, from Shuangfeng, Hunan.

He has worked at Changsha Sanzhen Tiger Park for eight years. His main daily tasks are to feed the tigers and maintain the hygiene and safety of the tiger houses.

Zheng Xiaojun, tire shop owner, 36 years old, from Nanxiong, Guangdong.

For love, he stayed in Changsha after graduating from college and now has a son and a daughter. In order to survive, he engaged in various professions and temporarily gave up his previous favorites of traveling, writing and photography.

Mother and son are from Shimen, Hunan.

An 84-year-old mother and her 55-year-old eldest son (left) and 46-year-old second son (right). The old mother gave birth to four sons and five daughters, and now she is studying with her two grandsons in the town below.

Wang Zheng, internal affairs police officer of Kaifu Branch of Changsha Public Security Bureau.

Yang Maocai, party member, 82 years old, from Jinchuan, Sichuan.

He served as a soldier when he was young. After being demobilized, he returned home to work in farming. He joined the party at the age of 20 and has 62 years of party experience. Now we have children and grandchildren around our knees, living a life that lasts until old age.

Zeng Dezheng, a migrant worker, about 70 years old, from Ningxiang, Hunan.

He wakes up early and commutes to Changsha every day. His job is to deal with weeds in idle land. The daily salary is 100 yuan, including Chinese food - a buffet at a roadside shop that costs 13 yuan per person.

Chen Guoqiang, 72 years old, is from Changsha, Hunan.

He was farming in Longping Rice Park in Changsha County. He clearly remembered Yuan Longping’s two dreams. His two sons and one daughter all work in the county or out of town, and he and his wife are the only ones at home.
