Camera first impression
Five basic information
Before the official blind date with Nikon D8 10, let's take a look at the camera's self-introduction. Can these highlights attract the attention of photographer space bound recovery?
Ultra-high pixel I am equipped with a Quan Huafu CMOS image sensor with 36.38 million effective pixels. Such a high pixel performance has also become an important reason why people keep talking about me.
Extreme picture quality is different from D800E, which uses other materials instead of low-pass filters. On my body, the low-pass filter was completely cancelled, and the pursuit of image quality performance was brought to the extreme.
Focus faster. I have the same 5 1 point focusing system as D4S, adding the group focusing function, using 1 main focus and 4 auxiliary focus points to complete focusing.
High-speed continuous shooting Although my pixels are very high, it doesn't affect my performance in continuous shooting at all. In Quan Huafu format, it can reach the speed of 5 frames per second.
Optimization shows that the LCD screen on my back is a brighter and clearer TFT LCD screen, and RGBW array is adopted, which can monitor the effect well even when shooting under strong light.
2 major landmark points
After knowing the basic information of Nikon D8 10, photographer space bound recovery raised two key issues according to his own shooting needs and usage habits.
Q: With pixels so high, will storage be slow?
A: The EXPEED 4 image processor I carry works well with the sensor, with SD and CF dual card slots. Both kinds of memory cards can be used as the main storage media, and photos with different formats can be stored separately.
Q: Does the camera have multiple exposure function?
Of course, I have multiple exposure function. Just open it in the menu. My multiple exposure can support the superposition of 10 photos at most. You can shoot anything you like and superimpose it in a picture according to your idea. Of course, the photos taken in this mode are only in JPEG format, and there is no RAW.
I'm going to shoot the date plan like this
Photographer Miss Popcorn likes the superposition of images very much. She thinks it can give a single impression more content.
During this trip to Hong Kong, I hope to shoot a set of superimposed works with Nikon D8 10. Aesthetically, the collision of two different elements will produce sparks. I tried projection many times, and finally found that the effect I like is to project directly on the naked human body. As a female photographer, my perspective focuses more on showing the beauty of the human body and the communication between people, so that the plane elements can come alive. Therefore, in addition to shooting the city scenery with Nikon D8 10, I also invited two foreign friends to create a set of human projection works.
Cut the night in Hong Kong with your heart.
My first impression of Hong Kong came from the movies I saw when I was a child. When it comes to it, all I can think of is narrow streets, crowded buildings and red and green neon lights all over the street. Therefore, my landscape choices are basically concentrated in the downtown areas of Hong Kong, such as Mong Kok, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai and other places that feel particularly "Hong Kong" after turning on the lights. There is also a sense of aerial photography overlooking the top of Hong Kong Island, which has a strong sense of city. Hong Kong in the shot may seem too crowded, so we need to find a specific angle and height to shoot. I found that magnified by telephoto lens, the whole picture is full of tall buildings, and irrelevant elements are excluded, so this composition is more suitable as projection material. Considering the visual effect, I will also use exposure and other techniques. Nikon D8 10' s ultra-high pixels show great advantages in shooting these crowded pictures, especially when shooting Victoria Harbour from the top of the mountain, every small window on every building is captured clearly and sharply, and I have a lot of cutting space to choose the parts I think are suitable for projection on the model in the later stage. Finally, I selected four photos from hundreds of photos taken in Hong Kong as the material for my body creation.
There will be no need for abstract works in the future.
Sometimes I think that a single image is not enough to carry what I want to express, so I think of using superposition. I prefer to make the subject more abstract and abstract the personal image to the human image, so I deliberately suppressed the tone of the whole photo. However, there are many ways to superimpose images, such as secondary exposure or post-production, but I chose the most intuitive projection method. This inspiration only comes from the fact that I found the subtitles printed on my body very interesting when watching movies with a projector at home, and suddenly I thought it was also superposition. While using the projector to superimpose the night scene of the city on the human body, I also tried to use the multiple exposure function in Nikon D8 10 for secondary superposition, and the shooting effect was more exciting.
"Wen" turned the city night scene into skin.
After shooting the night scene on the streets of Hong Kong, my work is only half finished, and more interesting follow-up creations need to be completed in the studio. When shooting the final effect, because the model can't see the projection content on her body, I need to communicate with them in advance about the shooting posture, and the projection angle and content should be slightly adjusted, so the assistant should follow my intention. I kept pressing the shutter to capture every moment I thought was satisfactory. Nikon D8 10 has fast data processing and storage speed, and there is no jam at all.

Q: Why did you choose the city of Hong Kong to create?
A: For this shooting, the tranquility and noise of the city are essential. When I mention these two words, I immediately think of Hong Kong, sometimes just like the relationship between men and women. Silence and noise are complementary and mutually beneficial.
Q: What do you think is the most important thing in this shooting process?
A: The most important thing is to learn to do subtraction. The simpler the image, the more powerful it is. When I have finished thinking and really implemented it, I will start to do subtraction and strip off all unnecessary elements, and the rest is what I want to express most.
Nikon D8 10 Dating Experience
I like it: Ultra-high pixels don't affect continuous shooting.
My love for Nikon D8 10 also started with the high pixel of 3638 Wan Chao. Before the trial, I had two worries about it, one was the data processing ability in continuous shooting, and the other was the ability to store a large amount of data instantly. However, this shooting eliminated my worries, and the ultra-high pixels did not bring continuous shooting and storage criticism to D8 10 at all.
I don't like it: multiple exposures can't take pictures in real time.
It is found that Nikon D8 10 is still somewhat objective during use. For example, when I take multiple exposure shots, I can't take real-time views through the LCD screen. When I switch to live view mode, the multi-exposure function in the menu is automatically turned off, so I can't visually observe the effect of each exposure superposition.
