Fangqian Chen (192-1985) is recognized as a gifted scholar in the film industry. He went to Japan to study in his early years, then worked as a radio editor and an actor in a drama club, and then entered the film industry in CLP No.3 Factory. He is talented. He once wrote the opera "Pioneers" with Lei Zhenbang, and won an award for composing music for "Little Bells". He is good at playing, playing and singing, playing chess, painting and calligraphy. Hou Baolin and Xie Tian are close friends. Not long ago, my cousin and I were invited to participate in the "Movie Legend" to read anecdotes about Fangqian Chen. As his nephew, I felt a lot.

In my study, there is a picture of my uncle. This is a Tang poem written in cursive script. I like it very much because of its solid shelf, vigorous strokes, flying charm and free and easy layout. This is a "masterpiece" that my uncle brushed off in the joyful atmosphere of gathering relatives and friends on the night of the Spring Festival before the Cultural Revolution. Nowadays, this word has become my uncle's legacy, which is even more precious.

Creating an Opera with Lei Zhenbang * * *

My uncle Fangqian Chen was a director of Beijing Film Industry before his death. He died of illness on March 21, 1985 at the age of 65, which was a great loss to China film industry. My uncle was born in Jing 'an, Jiangxi, and was born in an old bureaucratic family. In my youth, influenced by the new cultural trend of thought, I was admitted to Japan as a foreign student at public expense. After returning to China, he paid attention to social reality, actively participated in literary and artistic creation and drama activities, and published some novels and essays. My aunt Shen Shuju is a music teacher with great artistic attainments. She is cheerful and optimistic, and treats people with great enthusiasm. Due to the teaching and influence of their parents, their five children developed the habit of being peaceful very early, and showed artistic talent. Three of them were engaged in music and film production when they grew up.

After liberation, my uncle and Xie Tian attended the first film directors' training class in China organized by the Ministry of Culture. During this period, they not only laid the foundation of artistic theory, but also established sincere friendship with Soviet film artists. In order to leave a historical memory, my uncle wrote a book "Unforgettable Days" based on his experience of accompanying Soviet friends around China and having artistic exchanges with his colleagues in China. For more than 3 years, he has written nearly 2 film scripts in cooperation with others. He participated in the film feature film "Little Bell" and his music for the children's drama "Bear Treat" won the first prize of the national children's literary creation in 198.

My family was the busiest when Xie Tian and I came.

My uncle took the filming work very seriously. When writing "For Sixty-one Class Brothers", according to relevant materials, it took only a few nights to come up with the first draft. When the art film "Happy Days" was put into post-production, the composer was only given a week, and no one dared to take it. Xie Tian found him, and my uncle struggled for five nights, and the beautiful and smooth music was completed. After the audition of the new drama orchestra, it was immediately affirmed. Over time, his colleagues at Beiying called him "filming Aauto Quicker". However, my uncle has always been generous in his work, which has damaged his health and buried the root of the disease.

every time my uncle comes to our house, he brings a happy atmosphere. He improvised and performed, and my mother and children laughed one after another. He imitated Gao Deming's dumb voice for a while to make a few cross talks, and then sang a passage in Ma Lianliang's rhyme. Just stop, I saw my uncle take off his purse and buckle it on his head, copy a blanket and wrap it around him, muttering something in his mouth, and suddenly he became the president of Africa! He and Xie Tian, Li Keng, Li Tang, Liu Liu and other old colleagues came to my house together, which was even more lively.

Painting and calligraphy works published in Beijing Daily

My uncle is very fond of painting, calligraphy, seal cutting and clay sculpture. His small animals such as pigs, kittens, puppies and monkeys are simple and vivid, and everyone loves them. He once made a chapter of quotations from Chairman Mao, and his exquisite craftsmanship and exquisite miniature calligraphy were amazing, which was once a much-told story in the film industry. His freehand brushwork of Chinese painting is handsome and handsome, and his running script is vigorous and natural. He has been praised by Dong Shouping, Xu Linlu and other famous artists, and published in Beijing Daily, Cinema Art and Nanning Evening News. Whenever colleagues and friends ask for calligraphy and painting, he always agrees. In order to encourage me to study by myself, my uncle not only gave me many calligraphy and paintings, but also gave me a painting of painters from Mr. Xu Linlu.

My uncle gave me an important influence from my love of literature and art to my work in Art editor. I have been around him for many times, carefully observing his writing and painting, and listening to his glowing comments. Once I showed him a little opera exercise, and his eyebrows raised, and he used to adjust his glasses and gently beat his knees to make a song. Later, I realized that I had not mastered the essentials of writing lyrics. My uncle seriously pointed out the problems of the exercise. Later, I wrote two more lyrics to show him. He seemed very happy. He immediately wrote me a "letter of introduction" and told me to go to the composer Lv Yuan. When Lv Yuan saw it, he also expressed satisfaction and composed one for me in time, which was really a great encouragement to me! The past is vivid, and the emotion is hard to calm down. Many small things are particularly worth cherishing.
