The institutions that Shandong University enrolls art majors are Art College and Mechanical Engineering College. The College of Art has three undergraduate majors of musicology, fine arts and visual communication design, and four first-class disciplines of art theory, musicology, fine arts and design, and recruits doctoral students in the fields of art aesthetics, art history, art archaeology and folk art. School of Mechanical Engineering is one of the earliest engineering departments in Shandong University, with a complete "bachelor-master-doctor-postdoctoral" talent training system. The college recruits art undergraduate majors for product design. There is no photography major in undergraduate enrollment.
