Can I record the trial?

Legal analysis: no, when the court hears a case, it is not allowed to record or video without permission. The law stipulates that audio and video recordings are not allowed in court. Its purpose is to avoid rambling about trial information at will, which will affect the independent judgment and authority of the court.

Legal basis: Rules of People's Republic of China (PRC) People's Court.

Article 9 Observers must observe the following disciplines: (1) No audio recording, video recording or photography; (two) are not allowed to walk around and enter the trial area; (3) don't speak, don't ask questions; (4) Do not clap, make noise, make noise or commit other acts that hinder judicial activities.

Article 10 Journalists shall abide by these rules in their interviews. Without the permission of the presiding judge or the sole judge, no audio recording, video recording or photography is allowed during the trial.
