This painting is the most famous in 1982' s fortress of time and space. Wild horse performance is a new ultra-high-speed painting method, in which the body shoots all over the sky and flies all over the sky to hit the target. The missile can not only fly freely and circuitously, but also give people a feeling of flying up and down in three-dimensional space.
In the 1970s, the Japanese animation industry was monopolized by robot fighting animation, but the technology of long-range fighting in these works was very monotonous-the missiles/beams/flying fists launched by Magic God z/ Gaeta/Titan 3/ Gundam ... and so on, the next shot was tangential to the target, and then it missed/hit.
The key to the revolutionary breakthrough of Wild Horse Show is not necessarily to faithfully reproduce the movement of objects, but to focus on depicting people's impressions when they see high-speed moving objects. It is said that in order to experience the artistic conception of "missile volley", Mr. Ichir? Itano installed 50 cannons on his bicycle, soared on the river bank, and then fired all the bombs. He remembered this scene with extraordinary memory and dynamics and rushed to the studio to paint.
The most important thing in Wild Horse Show is personality and lens.
Ichir? Itano endowed these high-speed moving objects with the personality of movement and the visual characteristics of Banyema's drama. For example, the missiles in "fortress of time and space" are volley shots. Ichir? Itano divided these missiles into three types: the first is the top students chasing the enemy's ass; The second is to read Jun first, like to judge the opponent's action style, and then go around to kill him; The third kind is a big fool, who always entertains himself away from the enemy, and finally suddenly explodes and hits the enemy with shrapnel. Missiles with three personalities not only form a wonderful trajectory, but more importantly, make the battle scene more complicated than before. Every moving object can give the audience another way to watch animation. These tracks, originally empty shells, are the same after Ichir? Itano's magic. Hands have souls and will come back to life.
Lens is a unique way of expression born after the essence of focal plane-perspective and depth of field. As the originator of Japanese animation, Osamu Tezuka introduced Focus Plane into his works, which laid the foundation for Japanese animation in the future. As a link between the past and the future, Gong Yi Kanda further developed the idea that Japanese animation "uses less painting to get a better sense of movement", which goes against the world trend. What Ichiro Sakano did was to bring the very mature elements in the film-perspective and depth of field-into the Japanese animation industry, and carry out a moderate animation revolution-a revolution of photography mode that does not destroy the original foundation: in addition to the omni-directional high-speed motion lens commonly used in Sakano drama, Ichiro Sakano also used a lot of photography techniques such as focusing on objects and losing focus.
The soundtrack of this electronic music is called Circus Bells. Another very famous Japanese illustrator, K?ji Morimoto, also produced a very classic animated MV named EXTRA for Techno DJ Ken Ishii in Japan. You can watch it on YouTube if you are interested (Youku can't seem to find it).
Teamlab has an exhibition in Beijing called "Crows are chased, and the chased crows are destined to be chased and bloom in a collision".
Eight birds are the messengers of the sun god in Japanese mythology and one of the symbols of the sun. The image is a three-legged giant crow. According to legend, Emperor Jimmu (the first Japanese emperor) marched eastward to Kumano and was besieged by the enemy. The gods sent eight wise birds to lead the way for the emperor, completed the eastward expedition and established the country. Later, eight wise birds became the tattoo of Kumano Miyamoto Society, symbolizing the spirit of "loyalty, honesty and fearlessness".
The space occupied by this work is the largest in previous exhibitions, so the illusory space created by the surrounding projection is even more amazing. In Japanese mythology, eight birds fly in space and chase each other. This idea comes from the Japanese classic animation technique-Sakano Circus. At the same time, these eight birds will leave light and shadow-like flight traces, and when they collide with each other or with the viewers, they will become flowers. When the audience gathers in one place, the center of the work will gradually lean towards the position of the audience. This interactive experience of immersive works makes the existence of participants change the works. In this dark exhibition hall, the front, back, left, right and bottom are all projections. Teamlab reproduces the exaggerated expression of two-dimensional animation in three-dimensional space through the projection device, so when the audience enters this space, it will have a dizzy visit experience to the animation.
(I suggest going to the scene to see it, which is much more shocking than the video ~ it can be said that it is my favorite exhibition in this teamlab)
Another famous painter who made "Banmusitang Opera" was named Mulamujing. Mu Mujing is determined to be an original painter because he worships two famous painters, Ichir? Itano and Masami ?bari. Muramujing is very good at depicting mechanical and intense action scenes, and he is also one of the three people who can fully understand this painting technique called "Semi-Wild Horse Opera" (the latter two are Hideaki Anno and Goto Taiji). Invited by Kenichi Yoshida, the role designer of the symphonic poem, he also participated in the production of the work and served as a stunt director, giving full play to his skills.
He designed the wild horse performance and the gorgeous rainbow smoke tail in the symphony series.
In a conversation with Miyazaki Hayao, Hideaki Anno spoke highly of his work, calling him "the last genetic gene of Ichir? Itano".
Makoto Shinkai's film Your Name, which was released on 20 16, also used the technique of "circus with leaves", but this time a comet hit the village. The soundtrack really makes me want to cry …
Finally, I recommend a very interesting article and an open class of Sina Japanese animation ~ teamlab will continue in the next issue ~
