I want to buy a camera of about 3000 yuan, such as Canon SX40, Sony HX300 and Nikon D3 100. I don't know which is more suitable and which is the most cost-effective?

The key is to look at your needs. If quality is emphasized rather than portability, Nikon D3 100 is undoubtedly the first choice. Sx40 should be the first choice if it is used for hand shooting, emphasizing thinness and portability. Sony HX300 has no practical advantages except long focal length. Especially when the cmos size is unchanged, the effective pixel of HX300 is almost twice that of SX40. Actually, I don't think it makes much sense. The reason is that the picture quality is definitely poor when taking such a high pixel photo, especially at the telephoto end.

Secondly, the price of 3000 can also consider other machines, such as Canon G 15, which is undoubtedly a better choice. For consumer machines, telephoto is never a practical option, otherwise why do you need a SLR telephoto lens? If I add some money, it will be my final choice: Canon G1X. You can compare these models of cameras online.

To sum up my selection criteria:

1, depending on the size of the photosensitive element, the bigger the better, this is the first choice, because it determines the quality.

2. Look at the maximum aperture of the lens. Of course, the bigger the better.

3, look at the operation, requiring full manual mode.

4. Look at the size and weight

The ignored options are:

1, pixel size. It doesn't matter as long as it is tens of millions of pixels. Actually, I asked the same question when I paid the bill backwards.

2. Magnification. Because the focal length is actually talking, as long as the wide-angle end can be equivalent to about 28, the telephoto end actually doesn't matter much.

The above are some of my own humble opinions, hoping to help you.
